From Chad Simmons who talked to him this afternoon.
“After visiting Tennessee over the weekend, Quay Walker changed his visit from Georgia to Alabama this weekend.
But after Georgia saw him Monday and a conversation between Walker and Kirby Tuesday morning, the 4-Star LB is now planning to be in Athens this weekend.
I’m told Kirby has really become a huge part of Walker’s recruitment. He was before, but even more now”
Appears Bama is officially out of it if this is accurate. Looks like a VOL/Dawg battle with Florida being eliminated on Monday.
If I had to guess right now, I'd put signing him at
60% Georgia
40% Tennessee
Pruitt still has in home and you gotta believe Sherrer will be talking to him a lot over the next couple weeks.

You understand how dumb you look when you write Dawg like that, yes? I read your post on our board as to why. It's still stupid.

I can’t piece his recruitment together at all. I feel good about two other uncommitted prospects, but not Walker. I felt good about him last season, and then he committed to BAMA. I then felt good right after early signing day. I think he seems to be trending elsewhere. I wouldn’t be surprised if BAMA gets back in it though.

So if he is visting Georgia this weekend, then Auburn will be his last visit next weekend . Auburn sites can be sunshine pumpers a lot of times, but they have been acting like we had a decent chance of getting this kid for a while

Relax Phan, he's an Auburn lock

I think we are going to try and sell him on winning at least 1 SEC game

I'd guess probably reverse that. It seems like when these Georgia kids play this hard-to-get for the home team they end up going elsewhere. If he'd decommitted from Alabama and named UGA his leader, I'd feel pretty good. But when he's still playing the field hard and flirting with not even visiting UGA, something's pushing him elsewhere IMO.

JJ Peterson is potentially going with him to Athens this weekend instead of Bama.
That puts my mind at ease a little because I don't see JJ flipping and I think the only reason he's still taking visits is to stay in Walker's ear.
Of course, anything could happen.
ETA: of course none of this matters, since they're both Auburn locks anyway.

I would be surprised if UGA lets Peterson visit with Walker.
UGA staff allegedly feels good about Walker, but I'm sure UT does too.

I agree. No way UGA would want JJ on campus with Quay - you might as well let Pruitt come to Athens and bunk with Quay.

Let me just warn all the UT fans out there based upon the recent recruiting battles Auburn has had with UGA - don't get your hopes up. UGA is cleaning house in recruiting this year and you will be its next victim.

Give our boy Pruitt some time to work
Does the name JJ Peterson ring a bell?

Was never closely tied to UGA. Propst's guys will always go to Bama or wherever Jeremy Pruitt is if they have the option.

Chad Simmons just put out a tweet saying he was visiting bammer this weekend, Auburn next weekend, and Georgia the final weekend. V&S wrong as usual

I wouldn't be confident on where Walker visits until he is on campus.

I know Auburn isn't having any visitors this weekend because of the weather. Auburn city schools are still closed because of the snow a few days ago
