Tim backed off so LSU did too, they didn't get close again until about a month ago. Coach Saban was on him the entire time

Tim Williams is around the bottom of the top ten in this state this year and I might be generous. That being said he is still a fantastic prospect, very weird recruiting story with the LSU staff. TW always said that he wanted to go out of state and Miami was the school we all thought had the kid. The staff did back off a ton about 2 months ago and nobody knows why, typical bs rumors abound but none solid. I think they did not want to waste their time with him as we were going after the number one player in the state ( Beckwith). I think this could be a real good pickup for Bama, of course I thought Sentimore would be a beast so what do I know. Our Dline recruits this year are unbelievable and we do seem to do that well. I wish the kid luck except once a year.

LSU fans never fail at making me laugh when a LA guy commits to BAMA. It's always something about a kid being overrated etc. etc.

Kid isn't over-rated.When he wants to turn it on, he's a freaking stud, but I also wouldn't be surprised if he isn't processed by Saban in 1-2 years....

Helps that Alabama was the first school to recruit him. He got to meet Saban at a camp he attened 3 years ago.

I can rattle off a list of recruits that Bama wanted up until they signed elsewhere that were instate and out of state. Don't really see the point in posting "we didn't want him" on an anonymous message board.
