Watched him play all 4 years at West Monroe.
He improved dramatically over his sophomore and junior seasons. Then, he dropped dramatically between his junior and senior seasons.
His last season he was not as quick, fast, or elusive as he was his junior season. He looked to have gained some bad weight also. Not near as explosive as his junior season. Was winded in a lot of games that fans noticed early in the season.
I am not the only fan that noticed. If he can get back top his playing shape he was in his junior season he can possibly make an impact at Alabama. I saw absolutely nothing last season that made me think he would play any meaningful minutes at Bama. He is also 19 years old playing against mostly kids younger than he was. His upside is slim.
Just speaking the truth.

No. He’s not.

No. You’re not.

Well, many die hard fans felt the same way. Believe it or not, not all West Monroe fans are homers.
I was all on board his junior year and followed him closely. I spoke at length about his ability. Spoke very highly.
There was a drop. I noticed it and so did others. It really doesn't matter. Either way. And yes he was older than 90 percent of the kids he competed against.
I personally don't see him doing much at Bama. If I am wrong, then that is great for him and I hope he makes it big league. I saw a drop off in my opinion and that is the truth.

You know why he wasn’t better his senior season? He was the entire offense for West Monroe. Every team they played targeted him because if you shut him down then you’ll beat West Monroe. He’s a really good athlete. Not saying he’ll be successful at Bama because it’s hard to have success at Bama with the competition your competing against but just because he dropped off, which he didn’t, doesn’t mean he isn’t that good. He'll be a good football player and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t have anything to do with West Monroe

I think there's a lot of validity to the point regarding him being the sole focus of the offense. I saw it virtually every game. It curtailed his numbers late in the season.
We also saw his confidence drop some in the passing game, especially on the shorter routes. Doesn't matter though. He's not a college QB, rather a damn good athlete that can help a team in a number of ways.

He’s for sure not a QB. Robert Scott was a better QB than him but he’s a damn good athlete. I’ve been watching him since his sophomore year and he’s a great athlete.
He was the heart and soul of the offense his senior year so he was targeted more. WM had more playmakers last year so he wasn’t targeted as much, even though he was probably targeted more than anyone else.

Bolden is a traitor. He’s a Vichy collaborator and will be dealt with accordingly.

the greatest dual threat QB in NFL history.
I think Steve Young, Fran Tarkenton, Mike Vick and Randall Cunningham would disagree with this statement.

He was a very good athlete in high school at multiple sports.
I personally don't think he will excel at football in the SEC, but he could have been elite for baseball
Is he playing baseball too?

I will say this too, when Zachary and West Monroe played, the Zachary Qb is the one who looked SEC caliber....
And that kid was only a sophomore, and supposedly will be a top pick in the MLB draft as well

He’s going to be one of those players who LSU fans wanted Trey Quinn to be. He won’t really shine until his jr/sr year. He will likely have a breakout game against LSU, making big plays off wide receiver screens, hitches and swing plays from the slot. It will be very frustrating.

A lot of typical LSU recruit bashing when kids leave the state. Dude will be an excellent slot receiver and maybe kick returner. Good size and speed for the slot. Reminds me of the kid at Clemson, Renfro.
