Malzahn took a team that won 3 games in 2012 to a national title the next year. Jesus tapdancing Christ. I know Georgia Southern doesn't have high standards but they should raise them from having a pulse to at least coherent.

Twitter today apparently is abuzz that he is committing mid-summer instead of next winter.

Good for everyone involved; either you get your guy or can recruit another guy after

Maybe you are a little slow. You dont recall Auburn playing oregon in the national title while Malzahn was the o-coordinator. Then he took over that National Title team when Chizik tanked. So yeah, he inherited a damn near NAtional Title team compared to Butch Jones recieiving a 4 straight losing seasson team. Big difference in whose job is harder. Therefore you cant decide who the better coach is off one season. Gene-azz.

Sure I can. Malzahn has won everywhere and already won championships. Your boy Jones couldn't even win a Big East title straight up.

I tend to agree with this. When I took over the Florida rankings at the beginning of the year I was pounding the table for Gibson at QB. Then I went to see him at two different events and he didn't take one snap at quarterback.

Generally, when it comes to 7x7 tournaments, the key is to have an accurate quarterback. Gibson plays WR on his team, while a guy with one FIU offer continues to take all the snaps at QB. I have no doubts that Gibson is a dynamic athlete who plays quarterback, but I'm really starting to get nervous of his fit at certain places, especially if accuracy is the No. 1 priority.

Gibson should listen to Mike Bobo. WR is most likely his future, and he'd be a damn good one.

That thing has been going off since he signed up. So much pent up anger.

2010 season. Malzahn was the head coach in 2013. Jesus Christ.

Oh the one that was 2 years removed from the title and didn't have their best players like Cam, Fairley, Dyer, Lutz, etc...?

Seriously, how did you get in to college?

Gibson's visit seemed to go very well and he told VQ that he will be at the Orange and White game in two weeks.

Interesting. Especially considering that longtime leader Ohio State's spring game is the same day as VOLS and he's decided to be Knoxville that day.

Re:Ohio State visit

quote:

"My coach didn't want to add any more days to the drive," Gibson told 11W when asked what caused the change in plans. "He's the one driving so I need to just visit in the summer like I had planned."

Direct quote from Gibson. He's made it clear that he won't announce until after visiting Ohio State. Josh Darrow is being optimistic as he should but he has no idea about Ohio State's stock with Gibson.

First VOLS crystal ball is in.

GatorBait article today sounded very positive for VOLS as well.

He's probably one of the top 10 5* WR playing QB in the past 3 years.
