the problem was never their offense.
They've always sucked on defense

A good coach can manufacture points on offense with avg players. Defense needs studs to be good.

2-3 star DBs cant cover 5 star WRS no matter how much you "coach em up"
Not many 5 star LBs knocking down the doors at Tech

So I doubt we ever hear his name again. Getting out in the NFL, has more to do with the players around you be great to allow you to be a showcase. Being on a shite Texas Tech defense will not accomplish that.

They finished #10 in the Coach's Poll in 1965, so you fail there.

Dude, there is a very decent chance they are the best college football team in Texas.

And yes. Money talks. Tech basically became Texas on money spend in the BIg12

I guess money talks.

Money has been talking since well before NIL, etc.

Recruiting college players is like having sex with women. Whether you’re attracting them by paying an egregious amount of money for big name coaches and ridiculous facilities (akin to dating and marriage) or just saying, “Here’s X dollars. Let’s get to it” (like prostitution) you still need money and you’re still paying for it.

youre being dishonest

I believe the word you are looking for is ignorant.

menu2 apparently missed seeing that Tech is playing for in the Big XII CCG next week against a team it put a beatdown on earlier this season.

The red raiders averaged 38 ppg in conference play. Their lone loss was at Arizona State who went 8-4.

TT recorded 2 shoutouts, held Utah (10-2) to 10, Houston (9-3) to 11 and BYU (11-1) to a touchdown.

Can;t glean much from their three OOC games except the results would inflate their scoring average.

I consider them the darkhorse in the CFP.
