Isn't that the kid that tried to commit to us via twitter and we quickly called him and told him we wouldn't accept his commitment?
DB, jk, thought he was a linebacker

IMO the state of Texas had a down year in 2013 as far as what you normally produce each year.
Definitely. They are back next year though and LSU is coming down hard on them.

The fact that the 13 schools in the SEC not in Texas have a combined total of 13 commits from Texas players surprised me a bit.
If we are being honest, this wasn't the strongest year for recruits out of Texas. There were some good ones, but it wasn't a banner year, like Georgia is having. Realizing that, it's not really shocking that the many of the stronger teams in the SEC have looked elsewhere to get better talent.

Who on the A&M committ list is it that LSU even wants? If it is Golden, I will be royally pissed, because we NEED DT. It isn't Hill, and it isn't RSJ either, because he recruited other guys for us.
2014 A&M and LSU are going to be fighting it out for both LA and TX talents... It looks like Paris is going to LSU barring a major surprise, and we will know more about Brown's intentions tomorrow. A&M is definitely encroaching into LA next year, and will make LSU fight to protect their borders.

You LSU trolls are pathetic. Jimmies not rustled. Will laugh at you on Wed.

We were just messing with the OP....there won't be any surprises tomorrow. Also, I agree with you for 2014. It will be very interesting.

Part of ours is because we hired in Neal Brown and Co. from Tech.

Relax Colorado. LSU isn't taking anyone. Weak troll attempt.

It is a down year in Texas in many ways - next year will be a dogfight for the elite recruits, and A&M is going to get quite a few of those.

Once I posted the hope that it would cause texags to meltdown and Liucci to off himself, he realized I figured it out.

who cares.. we have plenty of good kids this year.
This is generally BS. It is totally about population. I think the texas kids are often overlooked because we have so many schools. I think the addition of TCU and the upgrade of A&M has put more pressure on the state's pool of kids though.

TCU doesn't really get affected by what other programs do. Being a small private school, they have to stick to finding overlooked prospects, the occasional stud that other schools back off of due to injuries or other reasons, the player that doesn't feel comfortable in a large public school setting, those types. And hope to find a coach that can do something with them, which TCU has done with Patterson.
(Baylor has a similar task, but Baylor is strongly tied to its religious roots while TCU is only nominally tied so. This can be a double-edged sword; Mike Singletary and his family were very influenced by the religion aspect while other recruits may not see it that way.)
The programs that are going to get hurt with A&M in the SEC are Tech and OK State; the players that may have fallen down to them are now going to be more heavily recruited by Texas and OU.

Will probably need updating later today. Looks like we're stealing Ok State's best(composite) recruit...
I am assuming it is Samples?

I believe State is after Fred Ross and UK is after Samples

I like Billy. TexAgs is, of course, insane. (To be fair, it is insane and impressive at the same time.)

Any dog fight between LSU and A&M will only reinforce the benefits of joining the SEC away from the Big 12.
Another 2 years of off recruiting and Texas and OU will have to clime out of a hole.

At this point, while I'd rather have both, I'd prefer only Hall to only Prevot.
Prevot will have to put on some weight to be an effective linebacker/DLineman (only 200 lbs).
