You do realize I'm not trying to argue with you about this right?

At this point the kid is gonna go where he feels best and that's it.

Like the song goes

quote:

You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes
You get what you need

Best of Luck to each of our respective Universities, Programs, and fanbases to receive his commitment.

Eric Reid has been in Landon's ear about playing for La. The 2010 class has never lost to bama and as long as our best players stay home we'll continue to play championship ball. The only way we can lose is if our top players start going elsewhere. Landon understands this.

Losing players due to Katrina is a lame excuse?? A list of players from the NO area in recent years includes dexter mccluster, kentrell lockett, chad jones, joe mcknight, tmathieu, landon collins, javonte magee, and dj fluker. And that's only naming the sure-fire studs off the top of my head. Anyone who doesn't think losing that kind of talent base hurt the LSU program is a complete moron.

You have yet to explain how the hurricane kept them from going to LSU. Did they stop being LSU fans because they evacuated NOLA?

LC pushing back his announcement actually makes me feel a bit better, but I still say LSU until I see the fax. Not getting burned on LA kids or Carolina kids anymore. LA kids go to LSU and Carolina kids are fricking crazy

I've met TS IRL. He's a nice guy. I saw the argument on here and everything. Only thing I know to say is that the Internet isn't an accurate representation of a lot of people. Dunno why.

Agreed.

I'm sure he is and I'm sure it's not, but just needs to dial it back a bit when arguing with people. I would left well enough alone until he decided to just call me out for refuting one of his points.

I don't hold any permanent animosity against anyone here, and I hope he feels the same way...

There are always exceptions like McKnight, that is what LC will be this year. I know he has a childhood bond with Reid etc but that isn't enough to keep him there and away from his gf, really either choice is a great one, &* I will continue to believe Bama is in excellent shape with him & Winston until I hear otherwise from people who really know. FWIW the decision to postpone had a whole lot more to do with Reid asking and assesing the situation than him being undecided, just what I'm hearing. Reid is attempting to by LSU more time, just what I'm hearing.

The Mcknight situation was no where near as much of a coup as this would be if Collins chose to go to a division rival and play for Saban on the eve of a championship game. That situation directly affects our prospects of having success moving forward, mcknight going to a school 2500 miles away did not. This would be unprecedented. Not to mention the fact that LSU is on the brink of its first ever perfect season. A lot of people here would take it personal if he chose to go play for the enemy when he lives 15 mins from campus.

Agreed. I can't really see anyone getting into it with you or a few other posters on here. Doesn't make much sense

Take it personal?

What? It's his decision, so why would I take it personal? It doesn't effect me.

Are you going to show up on his doorstep with a pitch fork and torch, or just post angry messages behind the safety of your computer in hopes that he takes the time to read the intellectual wisdom you have brought to his attention?

I think some kids (not saying LC, necessarily) want to go out of state to get away from all the smothering attention.

And Alabama is a place fans won't smother you?

If he picked a place like Washington you would be correct. Your media and fans might smother them with attention worse than our own.

No need to be ignorant memphis. Obviously most rational fans would move on, but you know that plenty of people would be bitter about the situation.

One of the best things about having Saban in the HC position is that this will never happen.

One voice, brah....

I'm being ignorant, yet you are the one that stats we as a fan base would take it personal if he chooses bama. Please do not group all of us into your vendetta .
