They are close to Alabama.

So are the Mississippi schools, Georgia and GT, and UT to a lesser degree. None of those schools seem to pull any top talent from the state. And I don't recall FSU doing it until recently.

UT had the inside track for North AL guys for the better part of the 2000s and late 90s... Aaron Sears from Russelville... and Jason Swain was from Huntsville, a WR at UT.

Regarding Crayton, if AU or Bama offers, I'm pretty confident they'll land him. If not, LSU is in great position. And yes, he's not as tall as he's listed, saw him play against my school in the playoffs this past season. He's very strong though, good prospect. But as metafour said, he only has half of a foot

I get that he has half a foot, but does it affect his play?... I mean, I guess it could cause trouble down the road when he adds 20+ pounds on his frame to play in college, but if he's fine at his current weight then he'll probably be okay.

just wondering why it's such a big deal... you can either play or you can't... whether you do it with 2 feet, 1-1/2 feet, wooden leg, etc...

I guess it's just a potential health concern. Considering both Bama and AU have DTs on the board that are as good or better than him, they'll get the initial nod because they don't have that potential risk
