There was a whole thread about yesterday.
We do see all this talk about Auburn, but he has not committed yet.
Yea, I'm not saying shite. My buddy melted down about him last night calling him a pos for not waiting til today to decommit.
Didn't say anything about Saban waiting til the kids were enrolled in school to peace on them though.

Yup, off to Texas most likely.

Apparently the leading guesses are Auburn, but we'll see of course.
I don't expect too many good things to happen for us being an Auburn fan...

I wish. I'd be shocked if it wasn't Auburn

I’m honestly just basing it off of his statement. Texas and Sark were the first thing he mentioned; Auburn seemed like an afterthought.
I could be misreading it though. Never know with kids these days.

BUT there are no Nick Saban's available for you to pick up.
In fairness, everybody thought that before Nick Saban came along.

Why would I be desperate about him retiring?
There's definitely a huge sense of loss coming out of Bama. Lanning was the #1 target and he's passed. So the question now is how far down the list do they need to go to get someone to bite. I think there are still some great coaches available (Kiffin for one), but TBD how this all plays out still.

Is there a link that this was the case? Is there a link of any communication between UA and Lanning? Has Lanning said he was offered or contacted? Curious because I heard message board rumors, media speculation, and all Lanning said was he was staying but never mentioned UA. Unless you have a link because I would love to have these facts.

Everyone knew in and outside of the program there were not much time left with Saban as the HC. We have been fortunate he stayed around so long. But I am glad he went out on his terms and not become the next Bowden.
Will we replace him never but right now just need a solid hire. Lanning is one of many choices but he was not the best choice in my opinion.

Sensible perspective sir
Oh and stop asking for links or proof of who or who hasn’t been offered. We heard it plenty during our last search and there never is proof through paperwork. Just coaches saying the declines the offer whether they really were or not.
Enjoy the rest of the search.

If I were him I’d take as many visits as I could. They get paid for them. Why not?

With the shite show currently at Auburn and Bama, hes gonna be a longhorn. Could swing to A&M (unlikley unless they throw a bag at him)

But I am glad he went out on his terms
Most everyone thought that Nick was a year away from making his last solid run at a national championship.
The unexpected slot this season pressed the issue while he probably came to the conclusion that the 2023 team wasn't quite up to the level of his former teams.

Yeah, I'm sure no one is doing this

It would have to be a significantly larger bag than anyone else. Considering the last WR to be drafted at A&M was Christian Kirk in 2018.
