If we would be settling for Tank, what do you believe the UGA board to be? Haven't heard too many names other than Evans, Chaney and Tank of late. Lots of talk of Evans going all the way down to the wire - do you think Dawgs will just leave it flapping in the wind like last year?

I think you're misunderstanding my usage of the word.
The coaches may have him on the board higher than I do. They may have decided that it's not worth it to hang around on other candidates, Evans being one example, when he's less than a 20% chance now (relative to a much higher shot they felt before the reshuffling of top schools according to a few different sources). We may still entertain Chaney, Lloyd, McLellan, etc... but they may just feel he's the best that they can lock up.
There's nothing terribly wrong with that, as it may also make 2021 RB recruiting a little smoother, but it's still settling IMO from a talent perspective. I could also be terribly wrong and maybe Tank ends up being a stud. I'll be here to eat my crow if so.

He also could be mediocre, but look great behind our O Line.
I think he looks like a slightly better version of Richard Samuel right now, which isn’t great. I hope his senior film is something more to my liking as you mentioned.

He runs straight up and trips over random blades of grass? That’s not good to hear.

Yeah, sometimes RBs can fool you on the ratings coming out of HS. Look no further than Keith Marshall and Todd Gurley. Everyone thought Marshall the better back that year. Gurley was #73 player in country and #6 RB.

That can be the case with any position. But Keith was also a really solid player until he got hurt against Tennessee.

agree Marshall was a good player, but he was never quite on Gurley level - of course very, very few ever get that high.

I still maintain that he's a "settle" choice, and there are at least 4-5 other candidates I would prefer over him, but it's just my opinion based on what I've seen.
Saw a snippet of him at a camp, and he was showing a lot of mobility. More than I had seen. It surprised me. Changed my mind about him being a pretty much straight line runner. Now, if will translate to a game?

He said he’s trying to recruit Tank to Carolina, so I think he’s pretty committed
Not saying he is not committed to SC or is not going there, but it wouldn't be the first time a kid recruited for a team then flipped.
That said, if he stays at SC, he is going to be a monster. I really like Lloyd, but we could do a lot worse than Milton and Bigsby if we can get them.

Rusty Mansell is very high on Tank Bigsby. He was on 680-the-fan today in Atlanta and Chuck Oliver was asking him about the UGA RBs. Of course Rusty said he sees Milton as a Dawg.
When asked about Tank, Rusty said that Tank is much more than "just a RB to pair w/ Milton" - he bragged about him a lot and said he "tore up" a good Hapeville team in the playoffs and went for 277yds against them in playoff. Said he is really good. Even brought up the Keith Marshall/Todd Gurley year and how most schools thought Gurley was a safety and Marshall the prize.
Rusty didn't say that as anything negative to Milton - just you could tell how much he liked Tank.

I did say a better version

It’s just a personal opinion. If he commits to UGA I hope I’m wrong. Maybe a slower version of Keith Marshall is a better comparison. Just feel like he doesn’t have a ton of elusiveness.

Hearing Evans, Milton, Bigsby & McClellan will be in Athens for BBQ this weekend. That is 4 of the top 7 backs per 247composite

UGA's parents did not teach them how to share
. Damn you could have at least got Chaney to come too so I could get some entertainment from the Miami message boards.

With Evans he’s not coming until he’s actually shows up

How do you recruit this without stepping on toes?

I'm sure the staff has a feel on who will most likely be in this class...In this case for Georgia, I'd say Milton.

I'd wait to pencil in Evans as a visitor until he actually shows up
Anyway, Evans is now saying that A&M, LSU, bama, and georgia will get officials

Ngata is supposed to be committing soon so it would be interesting to see how that factors in assuming it’s us. I don’t think it would impact Evans much but not sure how Ngata would feel about us going after another really high end RB
