“We have to do our do diligence,” Chris said. “We gave our word that we would take those visits so we need to give them their fair shot.” If someone said that to me, and I was pitching a deal (or on an interview), I would feel pretty good that I was going to get that deal/job. Not 100% sure, but would feel like I was the leader at the time
Are you not going to post his follow-up?

No I'm not going to post the follow-up in THAT post because I was saying based on his quote about the visit before it "blew up" it sounded like OSU was the leader. I was interpreting his direct quote from before he said it was misconstrued.
I am saying that based on the quote I completely understand where the jbook tweet came from. As I said, i would have interpreted it in a similar way.
Twitter beef is more real than most fast-food places

Texas appears to be trending for Bijan Robinson

These two things are nowhere near the same thing. And they've made similar comments about each school they visit... I have no idea where he'll end up but certainly wouldn't read into post visit comments with the idea that you've somehow landed a dominant position in the recruitment.

I know I’m a homer. I just try and limit it to realism

He was literally saying what they said they would do, which was to give every top school a fair shot on an official. That alone shouldnt make anyone feel like OSU is the leader.

Rivals dropped Zach Evans from #2 overall to #8 yesterday.

He clearly isn’t any good now.
Let us have him.

Probably means he's expected to commit to LSU this week.

The composite rankings is all over the place now. Players moving up and down without justification.

I've never understood how players ratings can move up or down during the summer without playing any games. Moving a guy because of camps is dumb.

ESPN is really the only issue. It's 1/3 of the value but they have nowhere near the level of focus.
Rivals/247 at least are very focused on the recruiting side of the business. They can disagree on ratings but at least it feels like they had some human at least look at the footage for the top 200 or so.

Yea but the problem is, to have a composite, it's better if there are 3+ services right. If it's just Rivals and 247 then the composite is basically already useless. It was a better tool when Scout was around, so it had 4 sources of info (making ESPN's part of the equation smaller). I agree ESPN is the worst, but I'd rather they had 8 groups of rankings and took a composite since different "experts" will see different things

Yeah... I'm not arguing that ESPN should go away... More sources would definitely be better. Just unfortunate that they suck at it so badly...

OSU insider from 11w dropped some big RB CBs; Robinson he went from OSU to cloudy, and put in one for Evans to UGA. I would think his next move is Milton to OSU based on his cryptic messages on the website earlier
Maybe the pieces are starting to come together a bit, but it's early yet

If y’all end up with Milton, I’ll be ok if this happens.
Obviously would like both, but I think I’m being greedy

Evans to UGA is meshing with what the Texas 247 writer said on Austin sports talk radio yesterday. Felt like UGA was leading at this time.
I believe his recruitment goes all the way to February as I don't think he is an EE.
