Amen, a Bama fan wants to complain about how LSU's Qb is ranked higher than theirs on Rivals, pretty hysterical given all the recruiting championships Rivals has handed over to them the last 5 yrs

but to base a ranking off 1 time watching a kid throw in a no pressure situation and watching a kid throw 1 time with the flu is not fair to either one of them. 247 does their due diligence, and has seen both throw multiple times, in multiple settings.
Barton Simmons admitted no one from 247 has seen Rettig in person yet, so tell me again about how they've seen both throw mulitiple times in multiple settings

Do you know why they have Rettig ranked higher than Bateman?

Scike says that Cooper Bateman admitted to Les Miles that he is afraid of contact. Once he knew that Les decided to go in a different direction.

Auburn passed on Rettig bc we were afraid of him transferring if he didn't get PT by his soph year. Frazier will be Auburns QB for the next 3 years barring injury and Zeke Pike, surprisingly, has developed very well very quickly. So that is likely to be the pecking order. Rettig had made it known that he fully expects to jump right in and play wherever he goes. Jeremy Johnson was higher on AUs board because of the situation, plus he is a big kid with lots of upside. Rettig has a rocket for an arm and might have the most upside in this QB class, but AU couldn't take a risk on a kid from across the country coming in, not starting, then transferring (seems to happen more with kids far from home).

Rettig has more upside than any QBs in the class except for Browne and Burns though. I, personally, wish AU would've taken Rettig.

Frazier passed like a TE last year and read defenses like a fullback.

I think Amiguel the right choice in JJ as well....if you have great local talent you should keep it instate, that has worked out pretty well for us....well maybe not at the Qb position recently

I guess players can't improve. They should just be judged on their true freshman season no matter what.

sure they can. But, pencilling in a guy that looked like shite last year as a 3 year starter because he is now coached by a guy who handed Tom Brady a towel 15 years ago might be a littler overly optimistic.

I guess you just refuse to understand how well he has played this spring. Last year Frazier only had summer practice, no spring ball. To expect him to do anything well was a huge mistake.

You are basing your opinions of him off of what limited situations you saw in games last year, mostly off of crap trick plays.

We are talking about how improved he is thus far through practice. So unless you followed AU's spring ball closely, which is obvious you didn't, do not try and dictate AU's QB situation to us.

Our excitement stems just as much from not having other quarterbacks as it does from having another one. We won with those guys last year, so we're confident we can win with a guy that can throw a ten yard out. I have no clue what kind of numbers he will put up, but my confidence is just as much from not having other players, returning everyone else, and getting someone else at quarterback. Has nothing to do with him playing in the LSU spring game.
