Which of his 12 passes did you like the most?
the ones where he would clutch the ball 15 times in his arms then throw it 12 yards away from the WR

Our excitement stems just as much from not having other quarterbacks as it does from having another one. We won with those guys last year, so we're confident we can win with a guy that can throw a ten yard out. I have no clue what kind of numbers he will put up, but my confidence is just as much from not having other players, returning everyone else, and getting someone else at quarterback. Has nothing to do with him playing in the LSU spring game.

Surely you don't want me to go find the threads on Tiger Rant or posts in the SECr where he is already claimed to be a top 3 SEC QB?

Mettenberger/Barkley will be talked like Luck/RGIII

I think Mett will have monster year at QB...and although I wouldn't want to see him go if we win NC I think he will with the buzz generated behind his name.
I'm going to bump this thread when the Mel Kipers of the world start breaking down who is the top QB next year Mett or Barkley.
Landry Jones will be next years Tannehill

I'm trying to understand this statement...but not computing.
Not being flippant here...i'm just very slow when it comes to gelastic statement like this...

I abhorrently disagree with you there.
there was no way Jordan Jefferson had time to clutch the ball 15 times....i would say 10-11.
Sorry...sorry. You're right...shitey flame...like my last post you replied to. i will improve. sorry.

I can't speak for idiots on boards. There are people that are posting outrageous things and I'll happily call them out on it.
But your talk on Frazier is not much different. I'm willing to say that the talk from some LSU posters is ridiculous. Are you willing to do the same for Frazier? Doesn't seem that way.

Lee and Jefferson are gone.
Everyone else returns on offense other than Randle basically.
Another player, mett, will be our quarterback.

I guess we can just go find outlandish, stupid statements and post them as gospel on this board.
MY thoughts, and the majority of sane posters, is excitement based on moving away from our prior quarterbacks as much as excitement that Mett is the next guy. Sure, there is confidence that Mett will be able to succeed because, and understandably, we succeeded in the regular season last year with those two prior quarterbacks. So fans are excited to have someone else out there that can consistently complete a pass.
I don't speak for people that post outrageous things like that. Have Auburn or Alabama fans not posted ridiculously outrageous things as well?

Did you read the first ten posts in that thread? Don't be that shitty of a poster child.
Guess you missed my post on the first page of that very thread:
"Only LSU fans are permitted to call other LSU fans idiots on this board. So while my sentiments may mirror yours in this case, I simply cannot support you here."

Auburn fans are saying Frazier looks to be greatly improved and ready to start based on Spring ball reports. That is vastly different then claiming he is a top 3 QB and will likely be discussed on the same level as USC's Barkley. Wouldn't you agree?

I would. Wouldn't you also agree that one dumb statement or a few dumb statements from a fanbase doesn't constitute the majority necessarily and child's "proof" wasn't wholly supported, particularly based on my posts in that very thread?

I would agree that a fan base shouldn't be painted with a broad brush for the view of a couple. Unfortunately it is the norm of message boards for that to happen.

As most realize, except for a few on this page of this thread. I will admit that more people are, at this point from the LSU fanbase, overly optimistic about Mett. I was more qualifying that stance than anything.
