He appeared in five games. Two of the game he came in when slovis got hurt. One game he played in he got a concussion and got pulled. So, he played two full games

One game was against 13th ranked BYU and he went 23/35 for 250 yards

The other was against UCLA were he was 27/47 for 340 yards. His defense gave up 66 points in this game so tough situation in your first game as a starter.

Yep Young was so bad he won the defensive player of the year for the Big 12.

Evans was buried on the depth chart….

Dart & Trigg never saw the field as freshman at USC…..

JJ and Ivey had no takers and had to settle on Ole Miss

And a LBer that won 1st team All Conference awards not once but twice….

Dude it is best to keep your mouth shut and not show your ignorance!

not only does ole miss have the best class they have the second best star average per commit. First is Texas with like three commits

Assuming you're referring to the average player rating, Ole Miss (90.90) is not 2nd; they're 4th.

Alabama (96.00) and Texass (93.00) have the two highest average ratings.

Also, Arkansas's current average rating (89.67) is incorrect, as one of their portal commits (USF QB - Cade Fortin) is actually a walk-on commit and isn't supposed to count towards the class. If you remove Fortin (again, he's not supposed to count), then Arkansas's average rating comes in at #3 overall** at 91.40 . . . OM is #4 overall** at 90.90.

That being said, OM definitely has been killing it in the portal and, while I'd argue y'all have a couple guys who are overrated in their TR ratings, y'all also have some (specifically Isheem Young) who are underrated, so it probably evens out in the end.

In sum (among teams with at least 2 portal commits), the [correct] ranking of average player rating for the portal is:

1. Bama - 96.00
2. Texass - 93.00
3. Arkansas - 91.40
4. Ole Miss - 90.90

Ha, I was just picking. Y’all have done a phenomenal job working the portal to fill needs and build quality depth.

How exactly does the ranking system work? Ole Miss, like LSU seems to have almost as many or more leaving than coming in.

Is it ranking only the incoming or is it a differential? I'm guessing the former.

No different than normal recruiting rankings. Those don't factor in graduating seniors.

Ole Miss does have a number of players leaving as well, but most are guys seeing the writing on the wall regarding playing time.

Going by 247 transfer rankings:
- 1-7 - transfer to Ole Miss
- 8 - transfer from Ole Miss
- 9-10 - transfer to Ole Miss
- 11-12 - transfer from Ole Miss

# 8 has been a starter at DB for us. We’ve recruited pretty decent there and there was potential he would lose playing time.

#11 is ranked as QB but was a backup WR for us. He was not going to play QB for us.

#12 would have played at RB but wanted to follow his RB coach.

It’s not all positives, but overall the transfer portal has definitely been a better positive for us.

It only counts for incoming. LSU has more incoming 12, than outgoing, 10. That's as of now anyway. Eight of the 12 were starters for their old team. Two are ST players. Seven of the eight were multi year starters. The only one year starter was a Fr all american. As for the departed players from LSU only two were major contributors.

Out of all of the guys leaving only two contributed. Henry Parrish our third string RB and Kedrion smith our safety. (We had 18 guys leave BTW)

We have however gotten the number two RB in the portal and the number I think four and five safeties in the portal. The rest were dead weight from the past coaching staffs recruiting class.

It’s kinda remarkable how quick we have turned over our roster. We should have plenty of depth for the first time in Kiffins coaching stint here

Just like y’all missed the ball. I’ve legit seen a 10 year old kid with half an arm catch pop ups better.
