Same here, I lived in Athens for two years of my childhood and have nothing but respect for UGA and their fans! Uber classy!!

The UGA fans I grew up around were far from classy, which is why I have given the locals so much shite at times, but to be honest, I have been too quick to project on them. They are pretty good dudes and exceedingly better than Bama, A&M, and Arky fans.

I respect UGA. No other school I can think of has to fend off every SEC school and most ACC schools to keep their kids in-state. I hope Chigbu becomes a big time player for you guys.

It's the layout of the state. Lot of the families in Georgia are transplants. Especially in the Atlanta area. Then you have south Georgia being 500 feet from Tallahassee and West Georgia being closer to Auburn and North Georgia being close to UT. Lot of the border kids grow up being fans of other teams in those areas because of proximity. I think we do a good job of recruiting the state overall but we definatly lose top talent sometimes.

I think UGA/LSU fans get along better than any other 2 SEC fanbases, esp big 6 members. It's horseshite we have to wait so long to go back to Athens.

Has to be the easiest team in the world to be a fan of. You win every recruiting title. So to see one upset over losing a recruit is just funny because they really do have another 4/5 waiting in the wings.

Yeah I have to admit, I can not stand AM/Bama/Ole Miss fans but Georgia fans are good people and respect them here on the board. I do hate their NFL team though.
