What does ole miss cheating have to do with States talent? You also have to realize how flawed the recruiting ranking system is sometimes. No doubt that State doesn’t recruit with the elites, but Mississippi recruits are usually criminally underrated. Some services don’t even have guys that cover Mississippi. And then you have guys like Sweat that should be 5* but just get tagged with a 3*.

"Ole miss had to cheat" implies no one else cheats. Also, feel free to point out which ole miss player was paid to sign with Ole miss

Lol. Msu offered him too. So what's your point? Mullen is going to steal this guy away from state, what does that say about yalls program? You roasted yourself with this post.

So you are claiming Ole Miss signed their players with no cheating? Someone should tell the NCAA!

It's very simple. No kids want to play at Miss State. It's why historically, you recruited terribly. Always in fact. Just be thankful Mullen left you a really good class and has only tried for a few. Though this one is puzzling. Guess he see's something in the kid recruiting sites are missing.

Either way. UF will finish in the top 12, and likely with a high average rating the way it's looking. I'll take that all day for a transition class.

Miss State commits are scout team players for us. Gotta fill the roster somehow.

What are you gonna say when we beat y'all this year? Besides, McDowell is an easy grab, and, as it turns out, we are looking to replace him with with an US Army AA. This will work out just fine.

Mcdowell was a last second grab because we found out about qualifying issues for DT's we wanted.

We now lead for

Frere, Gouraige, Lamar, Chatfield is getting hot, Boykin, and a few others. We may run out of room so I'd actually prefer not getting him but I won't question Dan. Every move he has made so far has worked out very well.

I know Miss State is butt hurt. But UF is going to have a top ten class. Miss State is just a very, very bad school to coach at. He will pull this yearly at UF.

Butthurt? I'm not. I wouldn't trade Moorhead to get Mullen back. What happens when a very, very bad school beats your school? What does that make you?

Mullen is the best coach in your history. It isn't arguable. His record is far better than anyone who's coached there.

Head is an unproven coordinator.

Smart decision to not trade. Obviously Mullen held back your school. Wasn't like you were having 2-4 win seasons before he got there since Sherry's amazing 8-5 season vs a pathetically bad SEC West.

We won 10 games the next season and didn't go, so what's your point? And this is worthy of note coming from a fan out of the Eastern Division, especially considering how malaise the East has been. Pathetically bad.

No, it isn't. It was time for Mullen to move on and it was time for the MSU to try to take the next step, so it was of mutual immediate benefit to both parties. Whether or not Moorhead can move us to the next level and Mullen can get Florida to a level their fans will tolerate remains to be seen.

I'm excited about Moorhead. I think he has upgraded the coaching staff with the guys he's brought in, I'm excited he's extended beyond the geographic recruiting boundaries Mullen operated under, and that he's also working hard to not only replace but upgrade guys who decide to sign elsewhere, unlike what we experienced with Mullen.

It was obvious after the Alabama game that for our program to make an attempt to reach the next level, we were going to need someone other than Mullen leading it. He did a great job for the most part. He does have issues and needs continued growth as a coach, primarily in recruiting and the aggressiveness to go head to head with highly ranked teams and go win those games vs. playing ultra conservative and trying to back into a win. Florida fans assume he will overcome those two issues simply because he is at Florida now. We'll see.

I reread your whole post. I'm glad you have enthusiasm, but to think an unproven D1 HC is going to come in be an improvement over Dan Mullen is kind of a stretch. It will be interesting to see if Moorhead is everything you want him to be. If you don't push Bama for the championship in the next few years what then?
