Didn't sign with MSU on ESD. Looks like he's a prime flip candidate for LSU,UF, Auburn or Tennessee

quote:

The 4-star lineman from Louisville (Miss.) opted not to sign in December, and Florida has suddenly entered the picture, with Auburn and LSU still in hot pursuit. Tennessee, which seriously recruited Moore over the summer, has reopened its line of communication, too.

With so many options, Moore told VolQuest his commitment with the Bulldogs is currently on shaky ground.

“Right now, it ain’t looking too good for them right now,” the Under Armour All-American end said.

“My mom is starting to win my dad over. They think it might be good for me to get out and grow up a little bit because they’re not going to be able to baby sit me my whole life. If I have problems, versus being 15 minutes away in Starkville, you have to stay there and handle your business on your own. Be a man and grow up.”

Tennessee was a flip favorite this summer, as Moore made his way to campus and nearly ended his long-standing commitment to the Bulldogs. That didn’t happen, though, and the Vols ultimately began pursuing other d-lineman.

But following a strong showing at the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game, Moore said he began to hear from the Vols again. The 6-foot-3, 275-pound lineman has only further helped his stock down in Orlando this week, too, flashing a fierce spin move and quick power for an interior lineman. Moore missed time his junior season with a serious knee injury and he was slowed a bit his senior year still battling back to full strength. He’s still not 100 percent, but he’s getting there.

“I’m not all the way back yet, but I can feel myself getting that explosiveness back,” he said.

“That’s why I’m ready to get on campus and get in the weight room, strength and conditioning program so I can get all the way back to 100 percent.”

Moore has already taken an official visit to Auburn and he’s set to see Florida on Jan. 11. He said Tennessee “sits high in the mix” and “will most definitely” get a visit in January.

“I have good relationships with all their coaches there. I like the atmosphere there,” Moore said.

“I have a lot of family in Tennessee. My mom, she wants me to get out of Mississippi so that’s a big help for Tennessee, me getting out of Mississippi and having family there.”

While Auburn is the current favorite to poach Moore, the Mississippi native said he wants to give Tennessee another look because he believes Tracy Rocker and Jeremy Pruitt will develop him into an NFL prospect.

“Coach Rocker he’s a good coach. He’s not a pushover,” Moore said.

"It’s kind of like a tough love situation. He’s going to be hard on you and that’s what I’m looking for because I’m trying to get developed. The (Vols) are on the low-in on defensive lineman. It’s a good chance for me to come in and play. Not necessarily start early, but a good opportunity to play and compete.”

Dude, just decommit.

I will say, if you are a B+ DL prospect who wants to go to an A program, definitely skip early signing day and let the schools who missed on their top targets fight over you. Seems to be the pattern the last 2 years.

I think if he flipped right now, he'd be at Auburn. But he's used his official there already, has officials scheduled for Tennessee and UF.

I'm pretty confident he's not going to MSU.

UF is going hard for him I’d suspect. We need a lot of defensive line to end this class and next years class

Word is that if he wanted to go, the staff may just let him walk. We have three other highly rated dlinemand and Moore had an awful senior season.

Didn’t make either all-state team.

He's tearing it up at the all-star game.
He will be a MSU Bulldog.

If we lose him tho, it will be to Tennesse, that is the team State is worried about with him not Auburn.

I'd like to have him, but I won't lose sleep over losing him. I am far more concerned with Nathan Pickering. He is a must keep.

We thought he was gonna flip back in July/August, he didn't, and we backed off and started pursuing some other DEs.

We're most likely going to miss on Bogle, so we're going to full court press on Moore. If that doesn't work, we have a couple decent back up options, Kristian Williams and Sorrells (but they'd be converted DTs, and that's IF we could land either of them).

We need 1 DE in this class besides Roman Harrison, imo. But we may be ok if we don't find the right guy in this class, I'd rather have the depth tho, not for 2019, but for 2020.

In reality he is not a B+ prospect, lots of people forget he was a five star prospect before he tore his acl. All the state fans on here acting like we dont need him are stupid he might very well end up being the best player to come out of mississippi in this class

He was a four star on every site but was a 5* composite because early composite ratings are weird. He is a B/B+ guy.

He ia good but he not on the level of Dean, Pickering, Charles Cross, Jerrion Ealy and Byron Young. Those are A guys.

I said what I have hear being floated around earlier. I still want the guy.

It is good he is doing well in all-star because his senior season was trash and the reason his ranking plummeted.

I think all of MSU’s commits that didn’t sign are visiting Oregon. I know both DBs, Pickering and someone else. I keep looking at their commit list to see who is next.

If yoi think you have any shot at flipping Pickering, lord help you. (I have near zero concern he flips, but if he does it’ll be Bama.)

If DJ James flips it’ll be to Bama or Auburn (likely if he gets those offers)

If Emmerson flips it’ll be to Miami (looking 50/50 with Diaz back)

Oregon is a fun trip out west to see the nike complex.

Look, I think those kids are taking more than a look. We need two DBs badly, so thinking there is legit interest there. Pickering is low probability. However, we’ve never seen kids like him on campus. Cristobal has pretty much accomplished what I thought was impossible too.
