Most underrated player in your 2016 class

Who do you feel like in your class is the most underrated?
For LSU I feel like most of us fans would say QB Lindsey Scott Jr. Louisiana Gatorade player of the year, Parade All American and Offense-Defense All American. He is a low-mid 3-star on all the sites with nobody giving him big time knocks other than height, but he doesnt excel especially at any 1 thing.
He is 5'11, 205; so built like a college RB already but possess above average arm strength, is a great student of the game and is very intelligent (had Ivy League opportunities), and knows how to operate out of a shotgun/spread offense with ease.
LINK
That's just him playing in the Offense-Defense All American game where he had a great day throwing for 200 yards and adding another 100 on the ground. He can make pretty much any throw with good velocity and sees things very well out of shotgun. His athleticism isn't elite but could be called underrated (he will absolutely make some much smaller DBs miss). He won the state championship this year beating John Ehret 46-12 (a JE team loaded with some good defensive prospects headed to schools like Arkansas and LSU). He threw for 230 yards and 3 TDs while rushing for 87 yards and 2 more TDs that game.
His stats last season were:
163 for 255 (64%), 3039 yards, 33 TD, 5 INT
220 carries, 1963 yards, 28 TD; 8.9 ypc
I think he can be a very solid player down the road for us as long as whoever is in charge by that point can figure out this guy is absolutely a shotgun/spread based QB.

Tricky one to answer. Before PARADE came out with their all american list, I would say Rico Dowdle for sure, wasn't really recruited that hard by anyone. Now I'm not sure.

Didn't realize this... Respect.

Calling Scott's arm strength "above average" is a stretch. It's mediocre and that, along with his height, is why he was so lightly recruited. Kellen Moore also had mediocre arm strength and he's one of the best college QBs of all time and has had a lengthy career as an NFL back up so it doesn't mean anything.
As far as rating goes, I feel like AJ Brown should've been the #1 WR in the country but since he was rated #6 or so, that's not a big deal. Donta Evans is a mid 3* LB who is an EE and will probably play some significant snaps as a true frosh this year.

Clearly you havent seen his film. He doesnt have a rocket arm but it is absolutely above average. He makes some throws in the highlight in the OP with some very good velocity behind them, and on the move. Guys with "mediocre" arms dont put that kind of ball speed on throws on the run across the middle or across the other side of the field.
The thing with Scott is he doesnt really excel at any one thing, but could call him above average in most aspects. And Scott wasn't that lightly recruited, he ended up with like 25-30 or so offers. The only big knock against him was height and that's it, which does limit him to shotgun/spread offenses. That being said, he's actually pretty close to Tate Martell...like a Tate Martell-lite.

Not sure if you really believe some of that stuff or if you're just trying to make yourself feel better about your staffs failure to recruit the QB position this year. I doubt Scott sees any significant PT at the QB position during his career at LSU. But hey, who knows.

Vosean Joseph
LaMical Perine
Freddie Swain (rated pretty high, but better than his ranking)
I would have said Aaron Robinson, but Bama happened.

I'm hoping it's Giovanni LaFrance.
Don't think De'jon Harris is underrated at LB (but could exceed), LaFrance being better than expected would really bolster LB depth which we desperately need.
Jordan Jones at WR may be underrated, but won't likely see as much action as LaFrance and Harris could, due to our depth at WR.

Marquiss Spencer and Erroll Thompson.

Either Marquiss Spencer or D'Vaughn Pennamon
Argument could be made for a lot of kids though

Believe what? I'm not making anything up. The kid had a monster year and doesnt have any knocks outside of height. He also doesnt excel at any 1 thing but above average like i said just about everywhere including arm strength and athleticism. Like I said, he's very similar to Tate Martell minus the few elite things he does, hence Tate Martell-lite. How quickly you forget a guy on your own team recently was just a 3-star QB and ended up developing great in Dak Prescott. LSU treated Dak much like we treated Scott, only this time Scott ended up choosing us.

All depends on like I said - offensive type. He'd be a disaster in a prostyle under center offense. In a shotgun spread, as you can tell, he can be deadly. He wont have to play for his first 2 years on campus, so he has plenty of time to sit, learn and develop.
I think Scott has a much much higher ceiling in college than a guy like Justin McMillian (we recruited last year).

And it has to be Marquiss Spencer for us. His jr/sr stats are eye-popping
293 tackles 59 tfl 44 sacks 9 FF
Albeit it was at one level below top level MS competition
