Hudl Film,

247

Unranked player out of Walker, we offered yesterday. He's only 5'7 170, but he hits like Sean fricking Taylor. Just murders guys twice his size.

What's the story here? Just not getting love because of his size? Plays weak competition? Potential hidden gem?

Seems like he's going to get himself hurt hitting like that (or targeting penalty). It's 1 thing to be 5'7 170 hitting high schoolers, it's another to be hitting a 6 foot 220 pound college runningback, or trying to cover a 6'2 200 pound receiver.

The height is what would really worry me here, if they see him as a defensive prospect. Seems like you would almost have to put him on offense.

Could be another Nickell Robey tho. I don't know how fast he is based on the film, but he looks fast.

Both of these. He has the potential to grow some still. I imagine he'll get an LSU offer after he camps.

What kind of competition does he go against? He is only 5'7" but he doesn't look any shorter than a lot of the guys he's tackling.

He hits hard, but he looks like a CTE case waiting to happen.

Walker is 5A, but the competition only ramps up when the play the BR area schools.

The upcoming season schedule looks pretty decent outside of about 3 games.

Nice film. He has great instincts. If he were 3-5 more inches taller and 30ish more lbs heavier, he would be top 10 material.

If Pruitt wants him, then he has to be pretty good. Pruitt is very good at evaluating talent

Looks like a hell of a talent. Too skinny but he has time to develop.

I heard he can suck a golf ball through a garden hose. That’s gotta make him a high 4.

Only an Aggy would rate a recruit based on that criteria

BJ Lockhart plays much bigger than his size and plays in the toughest district in the highest classification in the state.

Trindon Holliday was 5'5 155 and he turned out to be pretty damn good. Now I don't know if Lockhart has the wheels that Holliday had.

Skinny? He’s short not skinny. Compact frame. You can’t lay the wood like that if you are skinny at his size. He’s moving the guys he’s hitting. Hell of a player. Just a little short

I hope we take the time to seriously recruit this kid. As far as i'm concerned, he's a football player, don't care if he's on offense or defense.

He's one of the best in football (period) at evaluating talent. This kid must be some kind of dynamite, because Pruitt rarely takes short DBs that don't have long arms. He LOVES DBs with long arms. That being said, JP signed off on Kyriq Mcdonald (who will make Bama fans happy over the next few years), and apparently did on this guy, so he must be really good.
