Needed depth, nothing to get real excited about.

Nah, but a last minute rebuilt roster beating Bama’s 5 star loaded lineup was a rise.
Keep the trolls off this board.

We need depth at D-line. The starters are solid. We just fixed the depth issue in a matter of minutes

If you can’t beat them, join them, I guess.

It’s actually huge. We have a great starting Dline, but no depth so they are forced to play the entire game. This allows that and keeps fresh legs.

If you don't think LSU is trending up and Alabama is trending down, you must have quit watching after 2020. Alabama has struggled to beat anyone handily the past two years (both LSU games, 2021 UF, both A&M games, 2021 Auburn, 2022 Texas, 2022 Tennessee, 2022 Ole Miss, the list goes on). LSU will be projected to finish at worst 3rd in the West next year although I expect 2nd may be more likely as compared to last like a lot of people projected us this year. And 2 out of 4 is just a fact. It won't be 8 years before LSU wins again. Sorry if that causes you distress.

Yeah.
Winning the SEC and going to the Sugar Bowl in back to back years is comparable to going to the Texas and Citrus Bowls.

You people kill me.

I suppose I shouldn't have expected Alabama fans to understand that trends are different than direct comparisons. I'm not saying LSU has already surpassed Alabama.
Let me rephrase in a way more digestible for someone who may not have had the privilege of basic mathematics education, name a worse 2 year span for Alabama since 2010.
The trend isn't set in stone, Alabama could hire some better coordinators or get better performance out of their players and bounce back, but the current trend is clear as day

2013 and 2014 are pretty similar

2018 and 2019. Lost the national title game and went to the Citrus Bowl.
Next question.
Dumbass.

And ‘13 and ‘14 are actually worse. Lost the Sugar Bowl. Lost the Sugar Bowl.
Anyone trying to find some trend or predict Alabama’s demise is going to be disappointed. You’re trying to find kinks in the armor when a “down” year is going to the Sugar Bowl and winning 10 or more games.

Here's the comparisons:
'13-14
Overall record: 24-3
SEC record: 15-2
P5 scores: 747-404 (+343)
SEC scores: 613-284 (+329)
T25 Wins: #18 A&M, #14 LSU, #11 Miss St, #22 Auburn, #14 Mizzou
Losses: #2 Auburn, #6 OU
'18-19
Overall record: 25-3
SEC record: 15-2
P5 scores: 958-455 (+503)
SEC scores: 769-344 (+425)
T25 Wins: #16 A&M, #6 LSU, #7 UGA, #4 OU, #18 Michigan
Losses: #1 Clemson, #1 LSU, #14 Auburn
'21-22
Overall record: 25-4
SEC record: 14-4
P5 scores: 765-480 (+285)
SEC scores: 674-442 (+232)
T25 Wins: #11 Ole Miss, #21 Arkansas, #1 UGA, #4 Cincy, #21 Texas, #24 Miss St
Losses: Unranked A&M, #1 UGA, #6 Tennessee, #16 LSU
Worse margins of victories in '21-22 by a long shot, worse records, and the loss to unranked A&M is definitely a new phenomenon. 2018/19 blew out all of their unranked opponents. 2014 had one close call with 14-13 over Arkansas.

You’re really digging into the weeds to convince yourself.

I don’t know if one additional loss in a 2 year period equals a trend, it’s sort of like a one year streak.

I think all 3 were downward trends. This one is just a little bit worse, and Saban is older, and the player outlook for 2023 probably isn't as good as it was for 2015 and 2020. I also dont recall Alabama looking as vulnerable during the first 2 periods as they have the past 2 years. A bad A&M team almost beat them 2 years in a row. That never would have happened before IMO. Alabama may pull themselves out of it again, but I don't think that's guaranteed.
