But the PAC 12 doesn't allow physical football on the outside.
And the BDF does??? Physical football is not associated with either of those conferences ... Curious to hear a BDF fan talk about physical football. Ringo will end up in the SEC, like all elite defensive talent

Let the experts decide whose CBs play physical
Do even football...
Texas for the most part uses press coverage because they like to blitz with their safties and linebackers

The BIG 12 - where defensive players go to die.

If they aren't good enough.
It is simple as that. That narrative doesn't work.
If a CB can't cover players in the Big 12 he doesn't belong in the NFL.

If NFL development and conference prestige are his top priories, he’ll go to Georgia. Although Washington turns out NFL dbs every year and are maximizing their talents. He really liked Texas.
I am not going to pretend to know. I know he’s open and not deciding until the end. Cristobal is building a bully. I hope that’s on display when he visits.
If not, I would love to see Georgia knock off Bama.

That narrative does work, has worked and will continue to work until BIG 12 teams start taking the defensive side of the ball seriously. Top prospects want to play with other top prospects and be coached by great defensive coaches. Most kids would rather be part of an elite unit than a star on a poor one on a team that wins solely on offense.

It's the biggest negative recruiting talking point that Herman is dealing with right now, and it's probably not going to change with next year's draft either, although Herman is trying to combat it with the kids he recruited to Houston who've been drafted recently

Texas and TCU seem to be the only schools that take defense seriously over there. I get that the offenses are out of this world, but amazes me that OU can't put together at least an average defense. May have won the playoff the last two years if so.
You sure played well against us. We looked even worse than the LSU game, and that's hard to do.
Regarding Ringo, the UGA rivals guy has forecasted him to UGA. I'm pretty shocked because he usually doesn't do that unless he feels really, really sure. He's missed on a few, but not very many. Generally it's been guys who have told the coaches for sure they are in and then changed their mind last minute.

The big 12 is seen as a passing league, but that is not entirely true. They average 33.5 pass attempts per game and 38 rushing attempts per game. The SEC on the other hand averages 29.7 pass attempts per game and 35.5 rushing attempts per game. While yes you are on the field a lil bit more in the Big 12, the run to pass ratio is roughly the same as it is in the SEC

Texas has better DBs than Georgia so that doesn't work.
Going by recruiting rankings.
All their 5 stars are in the secondary

That might be changing.
UGA db's had been poor for a long while.
But with Baker going in the first round, Stokes, and 4 other top 50 recruits in their respective classes, UGA will be putting out a much better product in 2019 and forward.

Matters the player.
Some players are happy just to be drafted and get to the NFL.
While others want to get to the NFL and be All Pro.
Don't know what Ringo is looking for.
Georgia would be good for him. I think he is high on Georgia and has developed a close relationship with Sherman and some other UGA recruits.

Might? It has changed
2019 - Tyrique Stevenson, Lewis Cine, DJ Daniel
2018 - Tyson Campbell, Otis Reese,
2017 - Richard Lecounte, (other 2 high 4*s transferred)
frick it. 3* Eric Stokes is better than all of em.

They've got to do it (earn their spot in all conference and in the draft) before I can say it has changed.
But 3* Baker was step 1. Stokes is step 2. And we will see where it goes from there.
