I think it's a two team battle, Georgia vs Texas, with Georgia leading

He visited Texas for back to back weekends earlier in the spring, and then spent his whole spring break at Texas visiting the team. Texas OC Tim Beck coached at his high school, and his high school position coach is a former Texas player.

But Georgia has apparently killed it in this recruitment, and he appears to be trending that way.

He looks like he could be the top prospect in country.

I wouldn’t count out Oregon. With Steele’s commitment, it looks like Oregon will only take a commit from Ringo. All resources will be devouted to his recruitment.

Texas took over for Washington.
Looks like Georgia is trying to push Texas off.

The other schools.
Oklahoma
Ohio State
Oregon

Don't think they left a huge impression on Ringo.

He was very complimentary of Oregon after his visit. Ringo wants to decide in December/January and Oregon is getting an official. Oregon is talking to him everyday. This will be a marathon.

But the PAC 12 doesn't allow physical football on the outside.

Ringo is a big physical CB.
The refs in the PAC 12 could make him look bad.

Ringo needs to play somewhere that allows some contact after 5 yards just as long as it isn't obvious grabbing.

Ringo likes to be a blanket on his side of the field.
Thinks other places are better for him.

He will get to see first hand how Lenior and Steele fair when he visits. Both are physical players.

Donte Williams is Oregon’s best recruiter. He coached at Arizona and knows that area and is respected.

Oregon success with Ringo will most likely be determined with success on the field.

Oregon is going to wreck shop in tbe PAC 12. Senior OL and DL with an elite qb.

His Mom prefers UGA because it makes sense for her because Atlanta is an airport hub and Atlanta is closer to Athens than DFW is to Austin.

His mom works in the airline industry and she can relocate to Atlanta.

Georgia for sure is one of the favorites.

Austin has direct flights from almost everywhere in the country, and is a 2:15 hour direct flight from Scottsdale.

That might be a negative factor against other schools, but as the Ringos know because they've done it several times this spring now, and some of the coaching staff does it almost weekly, it's a very easy trip to make

FWIW, I do think Texas led in his recruitment as recently as a couple months ago.

We’ve done an outstanding job in this recruitment though and I’m sure it doesn’t hurt having the Thorpe award winner who was the first DB drafted coming from UGA either.

That’s a hot take from you, Cadello. I can always depend on you getting triggered.

My posts were more SEC recruiting related than yours.

He could still be.

I think either two things are happening.
Texas will use him to make UGA look bad. He is such a lock to Texas that Texas will let him run around the country.

Similar to Trey Sanders with Alabama last year

Or...

Ringo is thinking Georgia puts him in a better position to be in the NFL.
