I'd be careful pissing off a top tier JUCO program for one S. Looks like lots of talent coming out of there including some to UGA previously.

Thanks, but we're Georgia, we don't need JUCO's to survive. We're aware of Mayes, we put him there, and I could give a shite if we got fat-arse, worthless John Jenkins from there, but we knew that too.

If the coach wants get all pussyhurt about it, that's fine, it will not stop us from recruiting whatever players of his we want anyway. We don't strike deals like Joseph did here, to lie to a kid about his qualifying status in order to sign-and-place him for whatever reason (I guess they don't have room this year?). JUCO coach knows what he is doing and he wants to keep Evans so he can try to make a run this year, even though he knows Evans shouldn't be in JUCO. That is slimy and I have no problem burning bridges with a coach like that.

That said, I think Evans does stick with TAMU here. I also think he is a fricking chump and an idiot for doing so. If he is not a complete imbecile, he will run to Athens right now and not waste another moment being loyal to a bunch of people that have been lying to him for months.

"We're Georgia" line is a load of crap. Every program takes JUCOs.

Why would we beg a JUCO DB to come to UGA?

Recruit, sure. But I would hardly call it begging any more than I would A&M's attempts to keep him committed. If he says no, we move on to other targets just as capable.

To clarify Evans' situation in regard to UGA since it got so diluted:

-UGA definitely wants Evans now
- he would be making a really poor decision to stay at JUCO. He can and should go to a 4-year institution with a good program.
- the JUCO coaches don't have his best interests at heart, IMO
- UGA recruits JUCOs, but not as much as some of our peers, making any sour relationship with a JUCO less significant

Yes, everyone does. Your implication was that burning this bridge, if that even happened, would cripple our ability to recruit as though we depended on MGCC or any JUCO. We don't, most of our best players come from HS and honestly most JUCO players end up a bust (Hitman Hamilton) or at least disappointing (John Jenkins).

FTR, I would love it if we never took a JUCO at all because that would clearly mean we were killing it in high school recruiting like nobody else.

Yeah, we aren't begging. The pitch should pretty much be:

-Immediate PT available
-Pruitt >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Joseph
-Going to JUCO when he doesn't have to and isn't simply waiting for a spot to open where he wants to go is wasting his time.
-Coaches he's committed to have misled him about his status.

If he can look at the facts of both situations and still go to MGCC, then good luck to him. He'll still come off like a chump.

so aggies are openly admitting that his JUCO coaches can do a better job at grooming this kid than the aggie coaches?

no wonder aggies have a terrible defense, juco coaches can groom them better

A&M is recruiting better than UGA at the moment, so I guess whatever they're doing is working?

Texas vs Georgia....I would hope you guys could recruit slightly better than us. If not, then you should fire your coach.

Based on my calculations using 247 Team Rankings from 2012-2014, UGA has an average of 89.88 while A&M has an average of 89.48. So, for one, it's barely worth saying that one has been recruiting better than the other, not to mention that using a recruiting service's metrics to compare teams that recruit for different needs during different years is hardly reliable. Unless there's just a wide margin in the numbers, it's really not fair to say that one team has recruited better than another.

So a ranking that combines multiple services and clearly defines one over the other (not a huge margin) means its not fair cause UGA is lower?

Don't act like Georgia is too good to take Junior College players...

Besides, nobody really needs Junior College players to survive. They're a luxury.

Good to hear Auburn didn't need Cam Newton.

Edit: I'm a dumbass
