I want to thank all the coaches who have recruited me these last few months. Thank you to Northwest coaches for being there for me and helping me with this journey. My family & I have talked this over & I am excited to say I am officially Committed to Mississippi #HailState

Didn't even know you were recruiting him. He's a burner, good pickup

That pretty much confirms Bryant to MS ST

Why so?

I don't follow recruiting that much, are Bryant and Payton friends or something?

Several reasons, but apparently they really hit it off this weekend.

Bryant's comments on Moorhead was very telling. "Of all coaches I talked with, I'm most impressed with Coach Moorhead"

According to Payton they talked about playing together and hit it off..

That's MY personal opinion on it.

- Ark.. NO. He has 1 year to play. They have 2 wrs transferring, one was their top guy. They can't protect Kelly and he had enough of that at Clemson (27 sacks).

- Mizzou.. I see no advantage going there.

- Auburn... he wouldn't even give them an official visit.

- UNC- That coach will be fired this season.

- Miami.. Why stay in the ACC?

I just think with all things considered, MS ST is in the driver seat

Thanks!

I just didn't know if there was another connection.
It is nice to have a coach that's out recruiting a bit this time of year instead of one that's looking for his next gig.

Yeah this isn’t really an accurate picture. A guy that didn’t play and our 3rd or 4th option at receiver are transferring.

Also, while I don’t think we’ll land Bryant, our staff is selling him on what’s coming in as opposed to what’s there now. No one would look at our current or recent WR depth chart and be impressed. That’s why we’re taking 4-5 WRs and the #1 TE in this class to turn it over ASAP.

I agree but coming into Saturday’s game, Mississippi State had given up one more sack this year than Arkansas.

We do lose 3 starters from the OL though.

While the OL is not great, having WRs that can’t get open and a QB that can’t read progressions or throw further than 15 yards accurately makes the situation worse. Improving both of those items will make the OL look better. Not world class but better. See Brandon Allen, Drew Morgan and Keon Hatcher.

We have got to recruit better at oline for sure. Poor oline play kept us from going 12-0 Dak's jr. year. I know all about poor oline play.

Payton signed with Ole Miss out of HS and was committed until about a month and a half ago. Believe he finished 4th on his team in catches.

Also had double digit touchdowns. But I forgot, ole miss is clearly in a position to be turning down talent.

He only had 2 touchdowns this year, but I didn't say Ole Miss turned him down sweetie

Must have been last year’s stats. Regardless, why do you feel the need to comment on every State commit little bro?

I'm sorry that his recruiting past offends you so much

Doesn’t. We got a very solid receiver that ole miss wanted twice. Not sure why you feel the need to always post in state commit threads though

I post in most recruiting topics pertaining to Mississippi recruits. I don’t understand why you are so rustled here.
