LSU ended up with 2 kids from the Texas top 50. Both outside the top 10.
Bama ended up with 5 (likely 6).
A&M ended up with 8 (likely 10).
I'd put LSU behind A&M, Bama, Texas, and Oklahoma in State of Texas recruiting.

Maybe it’s trending that way, but Alabama usually doesn’t target the state of Texas for 5 signees (possibly more by February). Typically Alabama can fill those needs in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. I don’t think Alabama has signed more than two or three from Texas since 2010, until this cycle. The Longhorns being in a free fall definitely helped. Alabama signed two UT legacies and their top QB target. That being said, it will be interesting to see how Alabama targets the state of Texas in the 2022 cycle.
