You seem to be making excuses and melting over a recruit that hasn’t even announced yet. It’s not that serious. Just relax.

He’s a good player who we offered late. He didn’t like the fact we offered late. Our coaches have been recruiting him hard. He’s not a make or break for our class nor is he for the Aggies. He would be a nice addition but it’s hard to be upset over our haul at the position

I think if we’re still going after him it can’t be at safety. We have no reason to take 4 safeties in one class so we must see him at nickel

He is a true safety. More so than any of the others . And he will commit to LSU Saturday.

I made that comment.
I personally would rather Gilbert not be in our class, as we have more pressing needs (OL) than a 4th safety.
He is a good player who we made a committable offer to very late in the process. I think he would be the worst of 4 safeties, and 3rd out of 4 at best.
I think if LSU would have truly been on this kid from the getgo he would 100% be at LSU, but that is not the case. It's not a troll, it's just a fact that LSU rarely loses out on instate guys they really want, and when they do, it is almost always Alabama.
I don't think Gilbert is bad, I just think a majority of LSU fans will be relieved that he won't end up in this class so we can go after OL and then 1 or 2 guys in the portal.
ETA: I wouldn't be mad if he came to LSU, but I would honestly rather save that spot. I think he will commit to A&M and you'll find most LSU fans be fine with that outcome.

Tell my good friend Jimbo he lost this one. I love that guy. For the seven years he was here we were great friends. I have tremendous respect for him. Was always hoping he would get the LSU job. Bertman messed that up when Saban left.

Comparing a recent national champion to Vandy is laughable at best. I know “national champion” is something A&M hasn’t been called in a loooong time.
