Arkansas fans are getting excited about a player that isn't even going to play for Arkansas. Y'all gonna cheer for him when he goes to Kentucky?
How did that work out for Archie Goodwin

Regardless of what school he goes to he is a great basketball player to watch.

Just going to UK got him drafted higher than if he went to Arkansas.....no matter how overrated he was in college.

Yeah if Portis was on Kentucky he would be drafted higher than he will be since he went here
Nevermind a player from UNLV went #1 overall a few years ago

Lol at any assumption that Arkansas basketball doesn't recruit the same as any other program

He's not even the top SG in the class much less better than Benny

Jaylen Brown is better than Monk. So I dont get the argument

I hid that rankings from memory several days ago. I love Scout because it cares about basketball, but their national ranking analysts are bad.

I don't really see how you can say a SG is better than a PF and vice versa. If the 2 were playing the same position ok, but we are talking about two drastically different styles of play.
Monk's probably a better shooter outside the arc, where as Simmons is without a doubt the better inside presence in the paint. To say one is better would mean you'd have to break down extensive amounts of tape, compare competition, and pure athletic ability. Both seem to continually work on and perfect their craft, so I think it should be just left alone.

I think Simmons is an insane athlete but still kinda raw. Simmons has more upside that will probably be developed in the NBA, but Monk will make the better 1 year player in college. Kinda see them like Wiggins and Parker; Parker was more college ready, but as we see now, Wiggins is developing and becoming better than Parker.

I've seen monk play probably 10 times live. i seriously, seriously doubt there is a better pure athlete out there. He's an elite athlete among elite athletes. He does everytihng so effortlessly.
I have 2 knocks on him, 1 he needs to get stronger. He's not very strong. in college a bigger guard can body him up to an extent and 2 he's not the best ball handler on earth. he's not wiggins in college bad but he's not a point guard by any stretch of the imagination
if he tightens up his handles and puts on 10 pounds of muscle the sky is the limit
what makes monk so good is that he's not rated high just beucase he can jump and can dunk. he's a pure shooter and can stroke it from anywhere plus he's an elite athlete. he's steve francis with a more consistent jump shot

Ok, you say you've seen monk play 10 times. How many times have you seen Simmons? Exactly. You can't make that statement based on so little resources.

I didn't say he was a better athlete than ben simmons, I've said i seriously doubt there is a BETTEr athlete. I've played ball my entire life, I personally know joe johnson, i've played against Tmac and dejaun wagner in high school and monk is that caliber athlete.
simmons may very well be that good, i would imagine he is he's the number 1 player in the class for a reason. but he's not a better athlete

After watching both mixtapes I would take Malik Monk. Is it just me or does Ben Simmons look a bit overrated?
