He says he is still solid to you guys though I've never understood being " committed " yet still shopping around.
Can you imagine getting engaged and telling your fiancee that you still have a few other dates to go on to be sure.

Zevian has just reopened his recruitment. AU and SC lead.

I just don't get a WR wanting to play in AU's scheme. Good luck to the kid.

Very good chance Gus won't be at Auburn after this year. I guess that's not exactly a reason for 2020 recruits to commit to Auburn though.

Sorry bro but Carolina is not better than Hawaii or California. How many times has NWA been listed in the top ten best places to live? Seriously asking because I forgot. Oh and you can keep your shitty mustard BBQ.

Haven't heard SC much for him for awhile, believe it is just Auburn.
But like most think, when Gus is fired he'll flip again to someone.

A year ago I would have said the same thing. Funny, AU has recruited very well on WR for all of Gus' Tenure. We haven't always held on to them, but signed them. I think that Gus may be building his offense towards what he ran at Tulsa for Bo Nix. that would be more 4/5 WR sets. If this is what he is doing im good with it. One year at Tulsa, they had 2 different 1,000 yd rushers, and i think 3 different 1,000 WRs

I can tell you about 27 million reason he will be here after 2020. Only way Gus gets fired after the '19 season is if the bottom falls out like it did with Chiz in 2012. A losing record and hes gone...but I dont see it. We are too talented. Our defense alone will win a few games. I know we are breaking a new QB but I feel good about whoever starts because of the weapons around him and experienced OL and the best D we have had in possibly 10 years. I think Auburn at worst goes 8-4 which doesnt get him fired...and we could make a hell of a run which is what i think happens...next year on the other hand....if Gus doesnt get some plug n play OL....which he seems to be trying,.....but it may be different

Dude's a beast. He plays for a brand-new school in Forsyth Co. and they damn near made the playoffs, thanks in large part to him.
Glad to see em go to Arky instead of anybody else in SECE,AU,GT or Clemson.

Uhhhh he just decommitted from Arky and AU is the favorite now

Arky not getting this kid. He is AU bound.

Gus's scheme has evolved enough now to legitimately recruit a WR with stats to back it up. AU's leading WR had 140 receptions the last two seasons. Gus can also recruit to putting a few WRs in the league the past few years. It is surprising though that even when AU was running the ball 75% of the time we have always been able to sign highly rated WRs.

That’s because there’s ~50 4* receivers every cycle

Ya plus watch Seth Williams and you’ll see why receivers want to come here

I think Gus' buyout and/or length of contract was renegotiated. News sources were suggesting that, then somebody realized it would make Gus seem like a lame duck and that would kill recruiting until he was fired, not to mention make it hard to hire another coach, so suddenly the reports changed. Nope, they were just talking strategy during those highly secretive meetings. Then I read he'd lost autonomy to hire and fire assistants, which would be a huge red flag for any head coach.

I think it's a foregone conclusion unless Auburn wins the SEC, and that won't happen, so it's very likely Gus will be gone by December.

Some butthurt arky fans here. Don't get pissed at me because your state, football team and coach sucks. You wouldn't know good barbeque if it slapped you in the face.
I didn't make the kid reopen his recruitment your program did.

Long ways to go and at least 4 losses away from the early signing period for AU and Gus.
