TJ said he wants to go take his official which he told Coach Pruitt he would take and he's going with an open mind. He's committed to Auburn, but he said you never know what could happen. Not sure what to think. I guess we'll find out soon.

frick it, we will see what happens. We won't be in much need for RBs next season, but he could be a great one for us.

From reading what his coach said in the Rivals article, it sounds like TJ's just going up with Ryan and fulfilling a promise to their coaches. But TJ himself sounded a little more unsure. So who knows

All I need to see:

quote:

"I don't see (a flip) happening at all, but if it did, it would definitely have to be here pretty quick," Vickery said

Bama analysts dont think a flip will happen with Yeldon. They have been saying for sometime now that is a long long shot. Glad to see Saban is recruting him until the end.

But Saban says kids should honor their commitments!

FWIW I don't think it's a big deal if a kid visits another school while committed. They may really be committed and just wanting to check other places out before they spend the next 4 in the same place.

Could you imagine never getting the chance to go party in other college towns on football weekends?

Yes he said that a while back ago i remember that quote too. Sounds hypocritical if he is a religious man bc religion teaches you to do the right thing no matter what your opponent is doing. However, in the real world i am glad he does this against programs that actively recruit our committed players since it requires them to spend some of the same energy on keeping their committed players instead of spending all of their time focusing on flipping ours.

Thats called recruiting. For him to come out and say you should honor your commitment and schools shouldn't recruit committed players is laughable. He has done that forever, every coach has done that forever. It just makes him look like a bitch.

Per BMatt:

quote:

4-star LB Kwon Alexander also had a great visit to Auburn and continues to feel very comfortable around Auburn’s players and coaches. His recruitment is starting to remind me of Erique Florence last year. Florence waited until Signing Day to announce but most had a pretty good idea where he was going. For now, I consider the Tigers a big leader for Alexander.

quote:

Could Auburn steal 4-star CB Ronald Darby from Notre Dame? He didn’t really hint of that possibility Sunday but here’s what a source close to his recruitment and familiar with his visit to Auburn told me this week: “Auburn is going to get that kid. Just wait and see.”

quote:

The recruitment for RB T.J. Yeldon has certainly heated up in the last week with Alabama coach Nick Saban making an in-home visit Tuesday and Yeldon scheduling an official visit to Alabama this weekend. Auburn assistants are meeting with Yeldon today. It appears likely Yeldon will visit Alabama. Auburn sources still feel confident that Yeldon will stick with the Tigers and there’s not much to worry about. He’s visited Alabama many times before. Alabama sources, however, appear confident that the Tide can flip him. Should make for an interesting next few days. Auburn head coach Gene Chizik will hold his in-home visit with Yeldon and his family until after he visits Alabama. Right now, I’m going to stick to my guns that Yeldon will sign with the Tigers but I do think there’s cause for concern.

He also thinks we have a pretty good shot at Goldman, but doesn't think we lead.

Yeldon's coach on his visit to Bama:

quote:

"This was his last chance to really go do something," said Vickery. "He's enrolling in his classes at Auburn and will be there the first day he can be there after the Army game as far as I know.

"I think people are reading more into it than there is. He's going up there to have a good time and enjoy the last couple of weeks of being a recruit. I know that's all it is."

Yeldon officially visited Auburn last Saturday for the Iron Bowl
