I'm pretty sure he's talking about disappointing all of his family and friends who want him to go to UGA

This is a great read on Jovon Robinson. Very insightful to the kind of young man he is. We are getting a good one.
A positive article before signing day.

quote:
The Memphis native committed to Auburn last summer and spent six months in T.J. Yeldon’s shadow. They both were coveted tailbacks. Yeldon, who later de-committed and enrolled at Alabama, always was considered faster, quicker, more polished, better.
Robinson doesn’t care about that.
“Everybody is going to find out what kind of a player I am and until that day comes, nothing else matters,” Robinson said. “I don’t care about T.J. Yeldon. I’ve never met him. If he’s walking away from Auburn, I don’t need to meet him. I love Auburn and I’m ready to be great for the other people who love Auburn. That’s all I think about".

The more I see and read about Jovon and Ricky Parks, the more I like them. They stuck strong to their commitments even through everyone (including myself) shitting bricks about the timeframe of a OC hire. If I were in their shoes I would have at least taken some visits in case I didn't like the new hire and they both held strong. I think both will be very good players and good men at Auburn.

A lot of people who have met Jovon are saying he reminds them of Ben Tate. His personality, extreme confidence in a good way. Some say he even has somewhat of a chip on his shoulder in the positive sense.
Can't wait to see what he does to linebackers. Won't lie that article got me a little pumped.

He's a badass. Runs with a purpose.
Can't wait to see him in the O&B.

I dug it too but can't find a version that is bigger. I thought about converting it to a vector to see if I could make myself a wallpaper.
And Jovon is exactly the style back we need on roster at Auburn right now, a bigger guy that can move with the ball. Most of our backs are a little smaller that will excel with running around the ends, we need a guy to get nasty between the tackles.

Yeah. I'm hoping he is the next Rudi Johnson. Similar size, JR is a couple of inches taller. Have about the same speed. He has potential to be special.
Quoting Jovon: "If Auburn people are still talking about Yeldon a few years from now I haven't done my job."

Agreed. I am very excited about Jovon. He is one of our most underrated players in this class for sure. Getting him Academically eligible was a huge showing of just how hard of a worker he is.

We may not be stacking up on recruits, but boy, am I excited about the ones we have
If we can finish with around 20 or so solid players like we have now, I'll be as happy as a lark.

I have been saying the last month or so we don't need 25 big time players, we need a class of 20 to 22 or 23 of solid depth with some kids who can step up and right now we are on track with that.
1. If we wind up with Darby, he and Holsey could be the lock down guys we have been missing for years.
2. If we get Goldman, he and Nero provide extra depth on the line that we need.
3. While Diggs would be a great get, I think holding Louis and Williams are more important to give us two great receivers with potential out of the roof.
4. I think Kozan would be a huge get for us since we really lack a standout guard right now.
5. Armstead would be a great get for us due to his potential, but he really doesn't fit our 4-3 base defense as well as he would excel at a 3-4.
6. Avery Young would be a great get also, with virtually no experience returning on the offensive line, he could compete for 1 of 2 or 3 spots.

Good points. I hope Chizik keeps the philosophy of playing the best players, regardless of who's coming back. I felt we should've went young on the OL this year to have a better line, in terms of experience, next year.

Does the Auburn staff think that they are still in it for Diamond? There is an article posted on Wisky's 247 site about his visit.

Yes, it seems to be a Michigan, Auburn, and Arkansas battle, but the insiders feel he's Michigan's
