Yeah even if you could find a doctor to clear him, the risk isn't worth it. When it looked like we might get him it seemed like the only way he was leaving the west coast was if he could play with big bro.

If we did I wonder if it will be similar to the offensive lineman we took from FSU a couple of years ago. He had all kind of health problems.

Aubrey Phillips. Is he still on the team. I know he left after he go to auburn but I think I remember hearing he walked on again.

However, no other schools have been able to clear him. My guess is he stays at USC to finish degree and rehab. As Trey said his playing days may be over. AA will play at a school on the West Coast if true. Zach says Oregon.
Edit: TT is right word was AU cleared him, but the hold up was SEC clearing him playing for 1 yr due to the new Masoli rule.

Don't bring up his name, Alahunter will tell us how he was "processed" to make room for better players, even thought we're way up under the scholly limit. Is he still in school? I know he had to give up on football due to his heart condition.

A.Phillips isn't going to be playing football anymore. His health has taken the better of him. I believe he will be on hardship scholarship or whatever it is. Same with Ed Christian.

You can still back count next year and any year after that as long as you didn't sign 25 the year before. I've only seen message board posters saying you can't. All of the insiders Ive seen have said you can still back count next year. B Matthews said in his last recruiting update that if we miss on some guys we will only sign 20 or so and back count next year.
