Also, fun note:
quote:
Winston also told Sentell that Auburn is no longer a factor in his recruitment and has not spoken to him for some time.
"Auburn is no longer in the running," Winston said. "Auburn does not even recruit me anymore. ... If Auburn would have recruited me the way that Alabama has, they would be in my final group."

But AUSportTalk said that AU was 50/50 with FSU. He is never wrong, remember. So a quote from Winston must be incorrect.

At the time we probably were 50/50. He said that a week or two ago. However, it seems we have since backed off of him. FWIW AUST is almost never wrong. This is a great example of how fluid recruiting is.

I think it's a good thing we didnt recruit him. probably going to be a wasted LOI if he had signed with AU. I think he goes MLB this year or next. Bama probably doesnt care if he leaves after a year, just makes room on the 85 and if he stays then even better

That was his prediction a few weeks ago when we were recruiting him, and sounds like at the time he was right.

I will say this I believe ST has been by and large absent due to his mother being extremely ill, and may not have had an opportunity to update his predictions.

I hate that this fact gives everyone an out in recruiting.
It's accurate, but it allows posers to stay in the "insider" game...

He's still doing stand-up, just not as much and not as publicly, but he's still making his money.
Again, these are all things I know.
It was a joke. Obviously, it flew wide of the target.

Agreed. It seems like he has had a couple of months to say the least.

No you didn't I picked up on what you meant in staying with a Chapelle themed post. I knew you meant the death of his comedy show.

I think he goes MLB this year or next.

He is wrong alot. But his sheep dismiss when he is wrong as "recruiting is dynamic"; then claim he is never wrong. Kige's little brother said that AU made Winston a priority, and put the full court press on him. Pretty obvious that was full of fail.

That is why I believe he is waiting to announce after the MLB draft, right?

quote:Not sure. It is a doubled edged sword for him and committing. If he commits, it can hurt his draft stock in the MLB draft because teams won't want to waste an early pick on him. However, once drafted, having a legitimate alternative gives him leverage in contract negotiations.

Realistically, I don't think it matters much when he announces, because MLB teams are going to know going into the draft that big time college football is a viable option for him.

You are a major league prick. Yes Auburn did make a huge push on the kid and something during that process made them back off. No ST isn't a 100% correct and even he admits to that. I know for me he offers decent info. However, as with all "insider" info I take with caution.
Give it a rest already. We get it you hate AE and ST. You don't have respect for Frazier. We have little talent on the defensive side of the ball. We don't have much better on the O side of the ball. Did I miss something? I am sure I did.

No wonder he got banned over there. I mean shite, I kind of want him banned over here
Who was it that got him back on? TTsTowel?
Whoever it was, I hate them with every fiber of my being.
