Yep. And garbage as the Dolphins defacto GM. He left Cameron little to no talent on that Dolphins team. And it did not help that Trent Green got knocked retarded in week 5 and went out for the season. Cleo Lemon was his QB the majority of the season.

That being said, still dont want Cam Cameron.

I agree with Jones on that note. If I was an AU fan i'd be thrilled to leave the spread. It will helo your D to not run spread.

Also, so no one thinks i'm just flaming, I'd love the BVG if I was an AU fan. Guy has great reputation as college DC. Can recruit too (despite looking like a 70's porn star).

Yes I think that is a good thing to get back to some power football. I am excited to see what happens on the field this year. I am not expecting a big season, but I want to see a competitive team that leaves doubt on who will be winning the game.

I want to see hard hitting smash mouth defensive play and run you over offense with big play passing. I will be honest I would like to put NE's passing game with Houston's running game and call it Auburn Tiger football.

Never fired as a pro assistant. As Dolphins HC he was 10-6 & 7-9 (i believe). He was nowhere near the pro coach that he is as a college coach, but to ssy "pretty shitty" is just inaccurate. Also, he wasnt a career nfl guy like cameron is.

They are too dissimilar in every way to even compare the two - ever how generalized the comparison might be.

You're right that is a fantastic record. My bad.

He quit and gave up. Hightailed it back to college ball. I don't blame him, but he didn't do that well in the NFL.

7-9 isnt great, no argument from me. But it isnt 1-15 like Cam Cameron went with virtually the same personnel. Also, I would call what Petrino did to my Falcons "quitting & hightailing it back to college". Saban finished the season.

Agree to disagree here. I like you too much to argue with you on something this meaningless.

I'm not gonna throw this thread off any longer post this statement, but that is pretty good considering he inherited a 4-12 team.

At least he finished out the season, the prior coach sure didn't...

Not arguing just discussing. I am not mad. BTW I believe the Miami fans had a similar reaction to Saban's departure as the Falcon's did towards Petrino. However, I agree about ending the discussion in the Auburn recruiting thread.

I think he has the smarts and talent to do just fine. Just as Cam is able to make the adjustment.

i don't see why moving to a slightly more "pro" system would affect anything. Just because Kiehl is a dual threat QB doesn't mean he is a bad thrower. He has a good arm and good mechanics. Once he learns to read defenses, he should be good.

Regardless, labeling whatever offense we go to as "pro style" is pretty inaccurate these days. The best pro offenses are run out of the shotgun a pretty big amount of the time. Is Bama's offense what pro style is or is Stanford's? They are vastly different offensive styles, but are "pro style".

No I think Cass is one of our more solid guys. They probably told him on his visit they would like an in-home and he said ok.
