ESPN Magazine top 150 Recruiting tidbits

1. They asked' if they'd leave school early for the pros, 84.4% said yes.
2. If you witnessed violations would you report them? No-56.9% Yes-43.1% One star DB said "Nobody likes a rat" even the guys who vowed to report it say they'd be doing so to avoid the ncaa's wrath more than to uphold the virtues of amateurism.
3. Who's the Best Recruiter? 25% said Saban in first with 13.1% Chizik being 2nd. When asked who the most Overrated recruiter was a poll-topping 33.3% said Saban. "When I talked to him, I couldn't believe how cocky he was," says a D-Lineman.
4. After this Fall's Scandal would you still consider Penn State as an option 24.4% said yes while 75.6% said no.
5. If you knew no one would ever find out, would you take $50,000 from a recruiter? 85.6% said No, while 14.4% said yes."Knowing nobody would find out, who's going to turn down that much money?" wonders an SEC-bound defender. "Not me. I haven't gotten any money offers like that, but I wish I had.
6. Have any schools offered you cash or other illegal benefits? No-72% Yes-28%.
7. Did you ever feel that hostesses were being used to influence your decision? 62.2%-Yes, 37.8%-No. One recruit says "On about my 3rd official visit, I finally noticed that I was the only recruit who was being taken around by 3 hot girls, thats when it dawned on me that everybody seemed like they were bringing their best talent to try to get me to commit to that school." He chuckles "But I have to say, pretty girls never hurt."

During recruiting have you ever felt stalked? 64.4%-Yes, 35.6%-No Some player were taken aback by the constant presence of coaches "They were always there, writing down my every move." says a wideout Some say dans were too in their faces. And others point to the media. "The phone calls and emails and facebook messages from recruiting sites didn't feel like stalking-they were stalking," says a blue-chipper from Florida "I had to turn my phone off for most of the fall."

Interesting. Never thought of Chizik as a recruiter, always figured the assistants did the bulk of it

I would definitely tell any recruiting site to frick off if they were calling me...especially Shane Youngblood or Andrew "Spencer Region" Bone.

I would assume if 28% admitted it, then the actual figure is even higher.

So is Auburn really only recruiting 28% of the ESPN 150? I would have expected that to be higher.
