Maybe, being named MVP at the elite 11 in the past has led to maybe a 50% success rate in college, shows how much all this really means
Heck, a bunch of former elite 11 MVPs went undrafted
And depending on who you looked at, Lawrence wasn't in some of the top 3 standings a couple of years ago.

Was this a weird attempt at a "what's a dikfer" joke?

It is for QBs for sure. So much is mental and other intangibles. QB and OL are very difficult to evaluate for the same reasons.
Sean White was MVP his year. Dilfer said he was a "program changer". How anyone can make such evaluations without pads, etc. is amazing.

How much of that was due to coaching, system, and development?

Apparently for the first time the Elite 11 rankings are based on player votes, not the staff.

Sean white and justin Fields tore it up at the Elite 1 D Watson & Trevor Lawrence didn't
Winning the Underwear Olympics looks nice onn the resume, but other than that, it doesn't mean much
Doty is a gamecock, got his feelings hurt because Clemson didn't offer, took DJU. He'll stick with them.

Interested to see if Doty holds on for the Gamecocks, as he's definitely been performing well. Curious if they end up having to battle off any other programs or not given that he's an in-state kid. My guess is he sticks, but definitely drawing attention to himself it would seem.

Who thought that was a good idea? That at least explains why the Elite 11 rankings and the 247 rankings of the event don’t line up well at all.

The rankings coming from the elite11 Twitter mean jack shite, it's a giant popularity contest based on player votes. All that matters are the 247 rankings.

Doty is the fastest among them. Way fastest.
We're hoping for a bigger, stronger, version of Connor Shaw.

Doty is sub 4.5?
ETA : 4.62 40, so not the fastest

He ran a 4.65 at a camp in April. I don’t know the conditions of it. Maybe it was a bad run.

247 ranking that actually means shite

Yes. It clearly means a lot that this writer is penalizing Haynes King’s throws for being aesthetically unpleasant, despite their accuracy

It's a better indication then a players vote, which is basically a popularity contest lol.

4. Haynes King - The Texas native had one of the better individual games during pool play, tossing touchdowns on four of five drives. King impressed with a very quick processing speed and had the best footwork we saw, getting outstanding depth on his drops when taking snaps from under center. Of quarterbacks who threw over 25 passes on the day, King took the fewest number of timed sacks, despite playing with a skill group that had the most drops on the day (for all quarterbacks) along with some trouble getting separation downfield. King finished the day 38-55 (7 drops) for 6 touchdowns and no interceptions. The no. 2 dual threat quarterback prospect according to 247Sports, King is believed to be close to a decision between Texas A&M and Tennessee

You act like I'm trying to trash King, I'm not. I personally think hes the best QB recruit in the country. All I was saying is that the elite11 Twitter page rankings mean Jack shite and it's just a popularity contest.
It has Jalcolby Criswell at 4 and he has had arguably the worst elite11 performance of everyone there.

Have they published the 40 times that the QBs ran at the Elite 11?
I know a lot of UF fans are interested in Anthony Richardson's time. Rumors are out there that he ran a 4.5 at a camp.
