Interesting. Regardless, his family ties to Nebraska didn’t magically appear. They’ve been there. And it’s not like they had some magical season so idk. It’s weird. You’d think he’d revert back to every reason he chose Georgia in the first place. Especially if McCord goes to Nebraska. I wasn’t overly impressed with him at OSU but he was solid. Should easily win the job there.

He was already committed to Nebraska as well and then flipped.
Nebraska could have won 9 games this year with just a competent quarterback that could throw a forward pass. They basically ran a normal offense with shite passing.
They have a good defense. They won't challenge Ohio State or Michigan, but winning their division is an achievable goal. Hell, they could have won it this year if the QBs didn't fumble or throw 25 interceptions per game.

SUPPOSEDLY he got upset that Kirby told him IF Beck goes pro that we’d look at the portal for next year. No idea of true but kinda makes sense

If Beck goes pro and Raiola came to UGA then the roster would be RS Soph Gunner Stockton and two true freshmen. If Kirby didn’t look for a transfer QB he would be committing coaching malpractice. BS reason.

As stated before, I really believe you need a QB with Stetson Bennett mobility at minimum these days. That’s the one thing Raiola just doesn’t have. Maybe he’ll be great. Maybe he won’t. I still want him cuz talent is talent but I trust our staff.

This sounds like something his camp would have come up with to make it look like they weren’t leaving for money.
ETA: they’d be perfectly within their rights to leave for money, but most kids don’t seem to like to put that reason out there.

VolQuest insiders saying that Raiola is considered very overrated by HS coaches in Georgia. And they are saying it this evening after the Nebraska news broke so it’s not sour grapes at Georgia. Pugilist is better.

Allegedly he and (more specifically) his mom were annoyed during the Ole Miss game because staff were paying more attention to JuJu Lewis than him. Pretty weak mentality if true. Lewis wouldn’t arrive in Athens until he was gone to the NFL. Oh well…

This is exactly why I wasn’t upset when he decommited from osu last year. Kid and his family are a bit entitled and I think he’s a bit overrated.

FWIW one of the more trusted posters /insiders from another Georgia board (goes by SoFl) says it’s already a done deal. He’s gone.
