The fact he is even looking should be making his mama uneasy. She didn't let him come to LSU due to distance.

One of the first things he said when he got to Auburn was he wanted to be a head coach somewhere in 5 years. This is why Chizik agreed to give him the "assistant coach" title. Trooper is the guy in charge whenever Chizik is away from campus, etc. so he can get that experience of what it's like to be a head coach.
Whether he gets a job is another story all together, but that was one of the first things he said when he got there.

Mississippi State is more of a player for Ward than you guys think. Starkville is 40 miles from his home, plus his mother is a commuter student at State as well.
Should be an interesting next two months.

LSU isn't even in his top 3, and with Bama getting Deval they are probably out of the mix. I think this is an Auburn/Mississippi State battle

Ward is NOT an OLB
Kid is 6'4" 260 and will play with his hand down, and may eventually grow into an all conference DT similar to Fletcher Cox who was about the same size as Ward in HS.

If you are talking about Steve "Rosebowl" Robertson you can keep dreaming about Channing to LSU. Rosebowl has whiffed on a TON lately Jason Croom being one of the biggest. He whiffed last year on Tobias Singleton, CJ Johnson, Nick Brassell, and Jermaine Whitehead.
The guy doesn't have good sources. The Mississippi State 24/7 guy is the best of the MSU pay sites and he knows his stuff as good as anybody. According to him from his interviews recently with Channing Ward, LSU is still in the top 5 but State, Auburn, and Alabama have distanced themselves.

yeah, it's not like her personally watched us smack around State, Auburn, and UF. Plus beat Bama at Bama.

I think Ward ends up at State. Just pure speculation though. If he does go there and join Quay, those would be the anchors of a potentially great class.
