CB Jalen Ramsey (Nashville Brentwood Academy) To Announce 7/16/12 @ 1PM CDT

The #1 rated CB in the state of Tennessee, Ramsey is a Rivals **** and ESPN has him ranked 57th among all players in this class. SEC teams in the running for his commitment are Vandy, Tennessee, Auburn, Bama, Ole Miss, Kentucky and MSU.
Although we are all well acquainted with the volatile nature of recruiting, it is almost a foregone conclusion among the USC faithful that he will be a Trojan commit tomorrow.
Anyone heard anything different on him?

The insider who called Kiffin to USC before anyone said he has pretty much been committed to USC for about a month now. He is trojan bound. You all have a very good one

Please do not pick Auburn, the Ramsey family has not been good for us.

I'm not familiar with the school, but Ramsey has been tearing it up at the camps.
I'm not feeling negative at all about this kid.

We can. Besides Jovon Robinson and Andrew Jelks, Dooley has gotten every Tn player he wanted. We have actually been quite lucky.

Kimbrow, Azubike, Jelks, Robinson, and now Ramsey.

They didn't want Kimbrow and never offered Azubike along with every other SEC program besides UK and MSU. Kimbrow was a bad fit for UT and stopped recruiting him after camp. Just because someone has an offer doesn't mean it is committable. Christian Morris and Corn Elder are perfect examples of players UT isn't even recruiting anymore.
Missing 3 players in 3 years isn't bad at all.

Only misses thus far.
Ramsey is one of the best CBs in the country. He will be a huge miss.

How has USC been doing with these long distance recruits lately? The three that spring to mind are Jarvis Jones, Prater, and Ambles. Dawson is beastly, that one still stings here.

Lately? They've always had success with national recruiting. Especially since 2002.

Just looking recently. I actually would like to see statistics on bust factor for recruits who commit outside a 250 mile radius. Seems like it would be high.
edit: And I'm not talking just USCw. UT has had their trouble.
