I would take Fournette if I was building a team around him. That said, from UGA's perspective, I think Michel would compliment what we already have a lot better than Fournette would. A Gurley, Marshall, Michel, Chubb/Choice, Turman backfield would be absolutely sick in 2014.
2014 is a great class of backs overall in the south. Fournette, Michel, Cook, Yearby, Hurd, Thomas, Scarbrough*, Chubb, Choice, Stanley Williams all among the top 100 overall players in the country depending on the service

It will be sick if LSU can get Fournette and Racean Thomas......we will just have to see if Racean is interested in playing with/competing against Fournette. My money says probably not.

Lol @ the comparisons still to AD
That being said LF is the more all around back, however a speedy shifty guy like Michel or Alvin Kamara in Bama's case is never a bad idea to add

Lots can change between now and then......but I agree is a definite pipe dream at this point. I guess I should just be happy with having the #1 RB in the nation solid in our back pocket, but LSU really needs 3 backs at least in this class and I'd like to see 2 from the top 100 in a perfect world.

Yea no doubt too early for that....but the problem is that people say that about him all the time in person not just on this board. It is crazy, although playing against some of the best comp in the state no one could stop him.
If his teammates could have gathered some discipline and his coaches weren't so damn idiotic no doubt St. Aug could have won 4A in LA.
ETA I ofter wonder what Fournette could have accomplished as far as state records go if he would have played somewhere with halfway competent coaches and a functional O Line....like Archbishop Rummel.

I watch film and its almost identical to TJ Yeldon he's a bit more power and less shifty and quick than Yeldon. He would rather run guys over and shove guys around where Yeldon makes 'em miss. I'll say that guys will come on here and flame the shite outta me for that comparison but they likely won't after they see what Yeldon does this year as a feature back (He had more yds and TDs than Mark Ingram did as a TF and Trent did as a TF, also better YPC). LF will be great just hope he lives up to the hype, Yeldon has so far and then some

No doubt Yeldon is sick....if Fournette can do in his 1st year even close to what Yeldon did I'll be ecstatic.
I'm thinking with the OL talent that LSU has brought in plus the additions (hopeful) of Cam and Bauer next year the sky is the limit for Fournette.

I'm not sure what film you've looked at, but LF makes way more guys miss in this highlight film than he does running guys over. His cutting ability is on par with anyone elses. Watch the film and tell me again he's more interested in running guys over than he is juking and making guys miss. That's simply false.

Not sure what's so bad about comparing AP and LF's HS film.

Every good running back makes more guys miss in high school just because it's more fun and easy for them to do. Fournette is a more complete back IMO, but his cutting ability and shiftiness in space is not there with Michel. Fournette puts his foot in the ground and goes, as a opposed to Michel who almost looks like he's just gliding all over the field. Both are great backs, just with different styles.

Nothing bad just that they are nowhere near similar IMO

That is pretty much my take on it as well. Both are amazing backs with different styles. Very hard to compare the two.
ETA: I will say that I saw RobotSanta say that Michel would be better in a spread system, however if you look at his film all of the plays are from a pro style offense. I think Michel could be successful in either type of offense.
