He played with Bryce Young at Mater Dei. He is 6-3 220 and was rated a 5* in high school.

Actually, it was "alleged charges" which were dropped months ago by the DA.

McCoy was removed from the team before the season started. He did not play in 2021. So, technically he has already sat out a season. The 247 portal says he has immediate eligibility.

He is no longer at USC. USC never provided any evidence of wrongdoing. The alleged charges were dropped months ago. We all know that in an on again off again relationship no one ever lies or does anything spiteful. Hopefully, he can get on with his life.

It was an idiotic episode. Bru McCoy committed to USC, enrolled at USC, and then decided he wanted to play for Texas and entered the transfer portal. Several biased recruiting folks tore up the rule-book to count him as a Texas commit despite their being no reason at all for that to be the case.
He showed up in Austin and realized he made a big mistake and decided to transfer back to USC.
And his fake commitment did push the Texas class over A&M, all because of the bs of certain decision makers.
