He realized he accidentally committed to the University of Auburn. He meant to commit to Auburn University. He hasn't flipped over yet out of respect to the great recruiting staff at the University of Auburn.

That's the only legit reason I can come up with but even that doesn't make much sense. Wouldn't we look into that before letting him commit?

Yeah, the "focus on academics" line is very telling. Hopefully he'll get his situation under control and play somewhere.
