Recruits do not care about this.
But they care about Manziel going to A&M? You said his notoriety would lead to sustained success. Let's also not forget that he disparaged College Station his entire time there.

Horns always act like they have had recent success. Guess which team is the reigning Chic Fil A Bowl champions and which team lost the Alamo bowl. Sure you can talk about a NC nine years ago and a NC loss four years ago. Who cares about that.

Strong's classes at Louisville
This isn't Louisville anymore. And I hope to God he ignores Texas to recruit South Florida. That would be incredible for us

SEC Conference Title? No
Sumlin has actually never won a title in any conference.

Strong "doesn't seem to recruit well?"
Well the A&M I have watched since college would garner the commitment of maybe 1 or 2 players that Texas wanted per year pre-Sumlin.
Go look at the 2002 texas class on rivals then look at strongs first class and tell me he can recruit anywhere near Mack.
Sumlin flipped 3 texas commits in a single month.

Those are facts. Not opinion.

On a side note, as a Texas fan and alum I want to point out that I have always enjoyed talking football with SEC people. Though I might hate Arkansas, Bama, etc. for the heated rivalries and close games in the past, their fans are always fun to talk to and are very knowledgeable about the game. They get it.
Aggy is another animal. It's like trying to teach a biology class to someone who believes cavemen rode dinosaurs. They can't compromise or admit defeat. Ever. The line "No aggy ever lost a game, they just ran out of time" also resonates to chat forums like this.

Strong's classes at Louisville were light years from anything they ever had before.
tea sippers will loathe the day Brown was whacked.,

Why no one should go to A&M

Is there no reason to think a coach may be able to sell Texas to high level recruits more than he was able to sell Louisville?

What are your thoughts on how Texas can close the 4 TD gap on Baylor?

There is one reason i can think of....It has something to do with losing 3 high-profile recruits to A&M within 2 months of taking the job.
