Anyone else think the Landon Collins saga isn't over yet?

I have to say- the minute he made his announcement last night and I saw the reaction of his family- mostly his mother, the first thing I thought was 'this might not be a done deal just yet'.....
It's pretty clear the GF situation played a big role in his initial choice. It was CLEAR that Mom is unhappy with said choice.
I do not see LSU backing off between now and February. Not one bit.
I think the reaction from Mom & family was indeed genuine- and should not be taken lightly.
Even then toughest guys out there love their mother.

Somebody in some random LC post said he lives with his dad so maybe moms sphere of influence isn't as great as initially thought. I don't know though maybe that was just info coming from a ranter

Well, he has to do what he feels is best for himself, I suppose....
But seriously- when was the last time you can remember a Bama recruit making a verbal- and the mother follows it up by saying it's the wrong choice- and then openly campaigns for the other school???
Is this not at least somewhat troubling for the school he committed to? Kids today back out of verbals on a regular basis- WITHOUT the family telling the world they think their kid made a bone-headed decision.
No matter how you slice it, IT WAS ODD- which is why I don't believe this is over until Bama gets his signature.
