I’m no Gator fan, but a good Florida is fun. Some of my best memories as an LSU fan were Florida games.

I’m genuinely not trolling here.
But why is UF having so much success in recruiting right now?
Outside of this recruiting class, there seems to be absolutely zero momentum in this program, unless I’m missing something.

I mean Florida has always been a premier school and in the mix for elite talent. Even in the Mullen and Sharkfricker days they went down to the wire with top guys but they always seemed to lose out to Bama, Clemson, Georgia etc.
Napier is considered an elite recruiter with great attention to detail. His vision all along has been for the program to operate more like the modern day Alpha’s of CFB as a fully functional organization. Hence his staff of like 70+ ppl. Also add that fact UF’s state of the art practice facility is fully up and running.
And finally like 2 months ago, UF changed their NIL department up as the former one was a disaster. I think it’s safe to assume the new NIL situation is being run a tad smoother.

The state legislature changed laws around NIL to allow schools to direct NIL organizations. Prior to this legislative session, Billy and his staff were legally prohibited from coordinating with the Gator Collective. After the legislation, UF was able to bring the NIL organization in house

Yeah fersure but I also think it’s safe to assume Gator Collective was an unorganized shite show.

Eddie Rojas and Darren Heitner are no longer part of the collective.
Eddie was a drunk and Darren was a closet Hurricane fan that portrayed himself as a Gators fan. He was a Gators alum though.

Seeing that 2024 schedule, the organization have no choice other than to speed up the influx of talent and get better quickly. A lot of jobs will be in jeopardy in a few years if we don't get back to championship level recruiting.

I appreciate the thoughtful answer and for believing that I wasn’t trolling
I go to multiple UF football games each season and look forward to it every year. It’s a blast up there.
I didn’t realize the new facilities were operational. Even thought they were still years out from being done. With Miami’s money printer and FSU seemingly establishing a solid program I was just surprised that UF is dominating recruiting like this. It’s really impressive. Didn’t know anything about how Napier was building out the staff/program either.
His shine seems to have worn off and even seems like he’s not far from the hot seat. But I’m obviously sitting on my couch and not in the room while he sells his vision.

Napier has preached patience and he’s not wrong. This program was void of talent and more importantly depth. It’s going to take some time for him to build it up and the schedule certainly does not help over the next two years. However, I have no doubts he will get talent in and build the program the right way. My concern with BN is his development of QBs and his offensive system. Definitely questions if he can handle that part and it doesn’t seem like he has any interest bringing an OC in. We shall see.
