Yep.
actually that's not true at all. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that at Auburn the average ACT was like 27 and the gpa was around 3.8 or something for the incoming freshmen from last year?
My arse went to Auburn and I only got a 24 on the ACT and was a 3.1 in high school. Of course that was back in the early-mid 2000s.

There is no way that's even true.

My daughter is at Auburn now and she was home schooled and got a 23 on her ACT. She applied to Alabama and Auburn and got in both. She likes it there and is doing well.

Auburn is likely higher but I doubt the average is a 28 for the entire entering class.

Add Jovon Durante, Derrius Guice, and Dylan Moses to your list

Both numbers are too high. Last time I checked they were lower. Can't remember exactly what they were though.
Auburn's numbers might be slightly higher than Bama's but we need to quit acting like we're not on the same level as them. It's about the same at both.

j/k
If my kids found a major that Auburn would be better to attend than UA I would have no problem with it. Those frickers better not cheer for them though.

It was close, and is higher than most of the SEC schools, but that's likely a symptom of the type of programs AU is known for. That will skew the numbers, considering a large portion of those that go to AU excel in math/science.
I just find the argument ridiculous. UA has a top 20 law school, a great MBA program, and a very respectable engineering program. Both AU/UA offer a wide range of nationally ranking programs.

It's where she was the most comfortable when we visited. I went to USA and she didn't want to go there and I got an MBA from Cal and I wouldn't even wish that scum pit on Al Quida operatives so, process of elimination I guess.

Interesting fact about Cal-Berkeley, they have had over 80 reports of sexual assault in the last 3 years.

Had my employer, Chevron, not paid for it and given me a bump I wouldnt even have went. A lot of smart people there but they all seemed dirty and ignorant; typical hippies and the women are uglier than a hard tack, burnt, Army biscuit.

Even though this is OT, here is the data
Auburn
quote:
Average GPA 3.78
SAT Math 602 average
550-65 range of middle 50%
SAT Critical Reading 583 average
530-63 range of middle 50%
SAT Writing 568 average
520-610 range of middle 50%
ACT Composite 27 average
24-30 range of middle 50%
Bama
quote:
Average GPA 3.57
SAT Math 576 average
500-640 range of middle 50%
SAT Critical Reading 561 average
500-620 range of middle 50%
SAT Writing 550 average
490-610 range of middle 50%
ACT Composite 26 average
22-30 range of middle 50%
both schools are fairly similar, Auburn has been ahead for quite some time. Bama has closed the gap significantly in recent years, all while increasing enrollment. Several other things come into play for admission though, and there really isnt a concrete cutoff number
