Far from sour grapes here. This is nature of the new college world. This has been going on pre NIL just in the open now.
Nix is pissed because he is still coaching high school and not at Auburn. Dameyune Craig and Pat set this up. Would be interesting to know what Pat was promised by the likes of Fisher, Petrino, Craig and the oil money for Pat knows them well.
Cam called Auburn told them he was coming. Announcement date was set been in the works for a while.
Freeze and staff are selling the program and university with good NIL money in a solid way instead of paying like a sneaky coward like Craig and Jimbo. You know the rest.
Bet your arse Pat Nix received numerous calls last night from some powerful people who have helped his career including members of the REC.
Good solid recruiting by Freeze and Staff. Auburn will be fine.
You truly bought a great kid and athlete. Hope it works out for the young man.

No sour grapes here but I have a hard time believing a program that hired Hugh Freeze “did it the right way” or has any grounds to accuse another program of being slimy. Perhaps the kids just prefers a bag to hookers?

You know what trend I am referring to. If you want to believe that Jimbo just needs more talent, have at it. If you want to believe that players are simply not living up to their potential or transferring because of playing time and smoking weed, have at that too.

Someone like this goes to College Station every other year since we started playing. Someone like this watched a three tire Cadillac beat a $$$ bought team of Jimbo last year. Somebody like this is scholly donor and NIL contributor and from Phenix City. I stand by my words.
We wish Cam and his wallet well. His heart is certainly not in College Station. Good win for Jimbo.

Some kids want to head back near home. Others want immediate playing time. Some are dipsh%ts and get in trouble and need a new setting.
Transfers are a fact, as evidenced by Eli Ricks, Walker Howard, Landon Jackson, Marcel Brooks, Eric Monroe, and others leaving LSU.
LSU plays it well though. Kelly raided the portal for great players.

That’s a fair assessment and I agree 100%. A&M is getting the recruits, once construction is completed they will have the best facilities in the country. Great stadium atmosphere with a big fanbase. Honestly, they have made a bigger commitment to football in the last 5-10 years than the rest of their history combined.
If Jimbo can’t put it all together it’s on him.

Auburn and Freeze are like a few other big boys of this conference in that we don't have to and will not throw the bank to get a player to commit.

Eh, whatever. There are so many fake insiders spreading bulls%&t on the internet that you can't expect to be taken for anything other than a homer.
I have no doubt that NIL plays a huge factor in these decisions as that is the state of the game these days.
Auburn has always slung cash for players. We all know how you all won the bidding war for Cam Newton. We all know about Eric Ramsey. We all know about Terry Bowden on tape. We all know about Hugh Freeze's sordid track record so don't come here and posture about ethics and doing things the right way.
No one is buying that line.

Sure. I’d just add that P5 coaches now believe you have to be in the same range $$ wise before the old recruiting sells (campus, proximity, even winning) start to factor into the conversation.
