He’s looked like shite throwing the ball. Floating ducks, missing wide open guys, throwing behind guys and throwing into coverage. I’ve never watched this kid play, other than highlights, but I’m definitely not impressed. He does look pretty good running the couple times he has, but that’s about it.

Then again it’s one game, he’s a teenager and he knows he’s playing on national tv.

Maybe he could punt if quarterback doesn’t work out.

That was a fricking joke performance tbh. His dad stopped letting him throw too.

Rough night for King, very erratic throwing. King had 4 INT's last year then threw 3 INT's on national television in one game tonight. 8-18 for 110 yards. I don't know if he was nervous but it was rough one for him he will probably want to forget about.

Calzada will be starting before King does at A&M anyways.

Could have easily been more than 3 interceptions last night. I was not impressed at all. For what it is worth, I am not that impressed with the 2 we have committed either. Highlights for all 3 look great, but you have to look at their whole body of work. In no way, shape, or form did King look like a 5 star / #1 QB in the country. That John Tyler team was garbage outside of a couple players. Maybe he hills it in Elite 11 / 7 on 7 settings with no pass rush. A&M fans, how were King's first 2 games? Was last night just a rough game (Every player has one for the most part, no matter who you are or what you are ranked), or has he looked pretty bad to start the season?

The QB talent in this class just looks to be down across the board.

Really hoping Brennan is soaking it all in. He will have a Spring Camp, Summer, and Fall Camp to get first team reps. He will be a RS Jr. It really is a perfect "transition".

King was pretty bad, but man that John Tyler team was god awful. Know nothing about that school. Are they typically that bad? How the hell did that game selected for national television?

That was a pretty bad showing. Longview looked to be averaging 20 yards a carry just running off tackle.

Per King, I had heard people mention his funky throwing motion but it is something to see in person. He didn't seem really accurate, overthrowing wide open receivers or forcing the ball into coverage and not getting anywhere near his receivers.

He did seem pretty athletic though.

Full season (3 games):
38 for 68, 588 yards, 55.9%, 1 TD, 5 INT; 118.66 NCAA passer rating

This after he threw only 4 INT all last season, wow

Yup, numbers are crazy so far considering the numbers he put up before that. Is he injured at all?

Nobody on his team last year was a big time recruit or anything (no Top 100 Texas players from his school in 2019 rankings). They still won the game yesterday 42-0, despite his poor play
