On3 is such a joke to have this guy rated #70

247sports- #12 in country, #2 EDGE, #1 in AL
On3- #70, #6 EDGE, #5 in AL
ESPN- #24, #3 EDGE, #3 in AL
Rivals- #81, #5 EDGE, #5 in AL

So you mean to tell me every major recruiting services has it wrong? Rivals is out of date and is the only services that has him outside the top 70. You would be all excited if he had licked auburn. But instead you wanna make shite up because you’re about to lose a 5* out of your backyard.

He’s overrated. He will drop to a 4 star when they do some re-ranking.

Would y exactly say he is over rated. Have you seen the school he plays for? His high school is not even on the same level as a whole as most of the high schools they play against in 7A. He is the best player on the team and continues to get doubled team and tripled teamed.

If he played on a team like Hewitt Trussville, Thompson, and Hoover he would get more 1 on 1’s. But he is not surrounded by the same talent, he is legit a 5*.

Last year they were 7-5. 4-7 year before that, 4-4 year before that. He is not surrounded with talent like the kids from Trussville, and Thompson. If he palyed for Hewitt or Thompson he would get more exposure.

None of his finalists prioritized him. Even we had to whiff on about 4 guys before we pushed for his commitment. He was adamant about committing much later but is seeing the writing on the wall.

It’s telling when he’s not an automatic take for all these schools. That doesn’t happen with top 15 type talent.

Yeah, if you asked every college football coach who they'd have if they could choose between Waller and Ross, every single one would pick Waller. But his measurables are not good enough for some recruiting experts

I don’t know about that, I can only speak for ole miss staff, but Waller is wayyyy down their board.

His camp stats were 6.05 weighed 245 ran a 4.78.

He is too small to play lineman and too slow to play LB. Plus the handler he has, when he doesn’t play the first year or two he will transfer. I don’t think we even offered him NIL money

His recruiting profile says he's 6-4 1/2 and weighs 215 as a high schooler. I feel like most players are ranked with the assumption they will gain some weight as they grow older and enter a d1 nutrition/workout program. Most defensive ends we recruit that weigh 250 plus in high school end up being interior d linemen. I'm not saying he is or isnt worth his rating but he seems to have the frame to add enough healthy weight to be functional. I'm assuming he's plenty athletic to have ever received that rating.

Why wouldn’t Bama recruit a 5* that’s the #1 recruit in the state? Not only is he the #1 recruit in Alabama, he the #2 EDGE in the country, and 12th overall.
It’s pretty telling that neither Alabama nor Auburn are pushing hard for him.

Why? I can’t say. I do know Auburn and Alabama also passed on the big OT that committed to Oregon.

ETA: I’m not saying he’s a bad player or anything.

It is a little weird, tbh. Could have just been the relationship, it's not unheard of. I'm hoping that's the case, anyway. But I trust Rodney Garner to identify talent.

Production numbers just aren’t there, you expect more out of a kid ranked this high, regardless of the team situation, specifically at end where he had an opportunity to get his own.

Hopefully he’s able to perform this year

I hope they don’t come after him before he retires because I’m pretty sure he would go back. Same with UGA.

He burned some bridges from his time here so I don’t think you have to worry about UGA
