Did not the "bammer" fan base trash the kid the past two weeks? His mother tweeted last week "Bama fans showing their true colors".
If you don't think the other bigs in the state know what's going on and sensing a shift you are fooling yourself.
Auburn could only sign say 20 players but would have a top 5 in the country in average rankings by just signing within the state of Alabama this year. This state is loaded with talent this year and there is kinks in the armor in north west Alabama.
Going to be interesting to see how it plays out.

UNA?
You have been just as bad as Skippy in terms of laughable over the top nonsense recently so maybe you two should just have a thread where you battle it out.

But this is the recruiting board and getting into personal tifts isn't proper decorum, so I'll disengage.
totally agree. This board is supposed to be off limits to the kind of BS your fellow bama fan, and several UGA fans, have been spewing.
...........but you know how it is when a fanbase loses out on a commit/recruit. There is nothing but excuse after excuse.

You won't get any excuses from this Dawg fan. In fact, I say hoorah. If word hadn't already circulated around that this kid was going to decommit from UGA, we might not would have landed Justin Williams. So, I say 'War Eagle and so long' to this kid.

Kirby has personally recruited KJ since his freshman year. I don’t see him missing on a target he has invested that much time and energy into recruiting.
Oof.

First, he’s committed and not signed. Let’s see what he does in December.
Second, KJ got $2.25 million reasons to commit to FSU. Kirby went against his own principles TWICE in this recruitment. Feels like his ego in involved here. At this point, might be better off to move forward.

Auburn, Georgia and Ohio State got beat by FSU here. Nothing more, nothing less. It was his childhood team.
We can all stop crying about NIL offers now, and pointing to them as to why your college didn’t get a recruit.

Haven’t y’all been tops in CFB in NIL budget every year since it was implemented?

Posted on 8/6/23 at 10:47 am to Floyd Dawg
Bro stfu, he got paid but don’t act like y’all weren’t offering some big number too.
And 2.25 mil for a safety is horseshite, not every kid wants to go play for uga

We offered 500K. The $2.25 number came directly from one of my mom’s (no pics) FSU classmates who is deeply involved in their collective. He also told me Mama got paid directly as well.

UGA offers NIL to high school kids and more to the top guys but they won’t pay the extra premium that teams trying to establish themselves are paying to turn a program around - it’s fairly logical to understand.
1) more to sell - Nattys/NFL development
2) more talent already in the lockerroom
There is a lockerroom chemistry balance that coaches have to balance out once they have a great 85.
UGA is paying the Freshman but they cannot go overboard and maintain the lockerroom. They cannot go “all in” and maintain their strategy.
Take AU and Hugh Freeze sitch - he has ZERO loyalty to anyone in his current lockerroom - none. He didn’t recruit any of them other than the current Freshmen in a fairly weak class. Pressure to win and surrounded by two powerhouse programs - AU boosters are starving for relevance. Auburn can throw the Yellawood bag at any guys they want right now with no repurcussions.
Each school is different and all are in different stages. FSU has made progress but in a dying conference and still not a team in upper tier. UGA has to balance incoming classes on NIL with the elite talent already on the squad. It’s different and all three have somewhat different strategies in NIL.
If you don’t see the differences then you don’t see the full picture. All these kids have a good idea what each other are making and it can be an issue in the lockerroom- if you don’t think so then you are naive.

It has the feeling (to me) of being a solid commitment that he will stick with. FSU is his dream school. It's understandable.
quote:OOC, where did you get this number? Seems a bit high, but I have no idea, and can't imagine how anybody would know exact numbers unless they came from the player or a rep of FSU, which I doubt.

This is not directed at you, because i have not seen you do this....but too many people (Georgia fans) pull information from the other board and bring it over here as a done deal/fact. I get it. The source is right 90% of the time. But he also says over and over that things can change in a matter of hours in recruiting. Our fans need to stop bringing information from the other board and hitting people over the head with it as fact. Two or three times we have looked really bad after doing this. (Phillips, and Bolden) I get people want to feel like they have solid information about stuff, but it's hard to eat all the egg that is all over our faces lately.
Again, Floyd. This was not aimed at you.
