You do realize Kirby has only been HC for 4 years, right?

Is it just me, or have LSU and Georia fans been getting into some extremely idiotic pissing contests for the past year and a half?

Seems like it started with Emery's recruitment over who used their 5th string running back more. Now it's which staff has had more quality attrition than the other?

Good grief.

I just asked what other coaches they had lost that werent fired. Don't really care about the ones thatbwere fired or retired.

Georgia fans like to brag about their recruiting classes. LSU has curbed stop their team twice in the past two years and won a national championship. The pissing matches are idiotic because the two things aren't even comparable in magnitude.

It's the definition of moral victories.

Yeah because this is the first time we’ve seen LSU play for and win National Championships recently.

Well....Clemson, and Alabama certainly have done it more. Why do LSU fans take every comment so personally?

LSU got their this year and certainly had a great year. but before that it was 2007? The kids being recruited today were 6 years ole the last time LSU won a NC.

Yes. that makes it worse for Georgia...but I am not arguing that our NC is bringing in recruits.

Read what I said....if NC were the only thing that a kid was looking at etc.

Now, you guys can go fly off the handle.

Seriously? the year before we lost our OC, DC, and our S&C coach that I remember right off the top of my head.

I know what you mean, but no one has won more recently that LSU

Absolutely. And if I am a kid the way you won it would make a huge impression.

I guess my point was that Clemson and Alabama have won more lately than LSU has. If LSU keeps winning the West and going to the playoffs it will pay off big time in recruiting. I could see LSU taking over the hot team in the SEC from Alabama.

If he doesn't go to South Carolina then I can't imagine him going anywhere other than LSU. I know we are still recruiting him, but like you said....LSU has a shiny new trophy that should help.

It has been weird. I'm not sure what triggered it. I have seen a couple of Georgia fans trolling LSU and a lot of LSU fans trolling Georgia.

Some LSU fans have said Georgia fans acted poorly after the SECCG. I don't remember that, but sometimes when it is your own fan base you don't see it as much, or if it is certain posters you skip over it completely. We have 3-4 posters I refuse to read anything they post.

Not Clemson. Since 03 LSU has 3 and Clemson 2. If you go by the last 3 years then it's 2 vs 1 Clemson. LSU is a proven winner. So is Clemson. Your initial point that Bama and Clemson are the only choices to win a championship was idiotic. No one knows who will win it all in 2020, much less in the next 5 years... but LSU's chances to do this again in the forseable future are as good as anyone.... though no one can just assume they will. LSU has as much potential and upside as anyone.

My bad. You are right. It just seems like more to me since they have been playing for them every year.

I agree and never meant to insinuate otherwise.

You misunderstood me, then.

What I was poorly trying to say, is if a kid was just making a decision base on a NC he would first look to Alabama and Clemson. They have been playing in the NC game almost every year for the last 4 or 5. (just looked it up. They both have played in 4 of the last 5 championships)

No one knows who will win it all in 2020,
Absolutely true, but when they have played in the last 4 out of 5 it says something. neither are going anywhere any time soon.

yeah I see what you say and mostly agree with you. I think a better phrasing is perhaps saying a school that will likely compete for Championships in his time is school. Bama, Clemson, UGA, LSU and just a few others fit that bill. Someone like South Carolina most likely will not be a serious player anytime soon.
